People keep asking how it is with 4, and I am so happy to be able to honestly answer, "Not bad at all!"
2 months this past Sunday
That's definitely not to say that things have been perfect.
-I got a kidney infection the week after she was born that knocked me pretty out.
-Leah had a week of sunbathing and several doctors trips for being slightly jaundice.
-She and I have already been through one round of thrush.
-And that first month of sleep (or lack of) was pretty darn exhausting. Thankfully, my non-seminary-teachin' husband stepped up his game and helped me out a ton by alternating nights with feeding her a bottle.
1 month old
And while she's not completely sleeping through the night now, she's definitely starting to extend. Last night, for example, she fell asleep around 7:30, I woke her up to eat at 10:30, put her back down at 11, then she didn't wake up until 5:30 to eat again. I'll take it! It's been about a week straight of similar nights.
Leah's bedroom. Isn't it adorable?!
(We're hopefully turning the loft into a bedroom in January. We've never had a baby in our room for longer than a week. Luckily she's been a decent little roommate.)

I also think that part of not being too stressed out with having four is realizing that I just have to let some things go. I call it a good day if one thing gets crossed off my to-do list. And I don't seem to get too bothered when I'm out in public with the whole crew and I get spit up all over my black stretchy-pants uniform making it look like I peed. Whatevs.
(If I were a hashtagger....#yesijustpostedapictureofmycrotch)
The kids are still lovin' on her as much as ever....
(Poor girl! We've definitely had to up security around here!)
And she even had her first slumber party with her sisters a few weeks back...
(Reese was feeling scared one night and Little Sister's company seemed to do the trick.)

I'm so glad she's a good baby! Sammie was an awesome baby too, I wonder if it's a fourth kid thing. She's definitely gorgeous.
Also, I'm laughing so hard over your crotch picture! #bestblogpostpictureever!
Maybe it's because I recently sauteed onions, but I feel like crying. Nope, it's because I'm so happy for you! When you said it doesn't suck to be the Bjorkmans, I remember that desperate feeling of having a difficult baby. I'm so happy Leah is so sweet and easy.
And Tom, you're the man. These night feedings might just get you a fifth child. (Don't think I don't know what you're up to.)
I'm sooooo glad to hear it!!! Four seriously kicked my butt, and that was with a relatively good baby. You're an awesome mom!!!
Yay! Number 4 was awesome for me, too...they seem to sense you need it. Ha ha!
Good to hear, people seem to act like 4 was the end of the world for them and they are all scaring me away from 4! Where did you get the cute frames on your wall? I haven't ever seen square openings, that is what I'm looking for. Super cute.
Nice. I'm tempted to try using a bottle sometimes on my next baby...if he or she will take it, so Curtis can do one early morning feed or something. Noelle never took a bottle though, so I'm not holding my breath. I read your post and think...oh, it would be so awesome to have a baby that doesn't reflux all night or scream for hours because of pain and have allergies...maybe #4 will be it. But I've gotta just assume it will be more of the same, the odds are stacked against me with 3 of my 3 already being that way. Grr. I will be content to read about the fairytale baby for now. She is so cute!
I love your girls' room and the cute pic of Leah and Reese pointed toward each other in their slumbers. Such sisterly love!
