Everett certainly loves his little "Leah Cherie", and generally loves to hug and kiss her. I even found him leaning over her singing "I Am A Child of God" trying to soothe her when she woke up crying from a nap one day. Adorable. But he's also recently discovered that tormenting her can get my attention just as easily as his being sweet does. Yikes! I kind of figured it would be coming, but was hopeful that maybe it wouldn't when I saw how well he had been doing for so long. Tom and I realize that one-on-one attention from Mommy is something this boy needs and craves so I took him on a date this past Saturday to see "Elmo Live". Mommy AND the real Elmo? Both in one place?!
Everett clapped vigorously, sang loudly to "ABC", danced like no one was watching,
and was excited to tell Daddy all about it during intermission.
Every day since, he's been telling me to "go get dressed" and "go get in the car" so we can go see Elmo again. Sorry, little guy, hopefully lots of hugs and kisses from Mommy & Daddy will do the trick for now.

Look at that smile! That boy is in heaven. And kudos to you for being able to know what he needs. I totally get the my-kid-is-so-happy-that-it-makes-me-cry thing.
Oh man. Everett is totally a mini Tom, especially in the picture where he is talking to him on he phone. How fun for you and him to have a little date night.
You are such a good mom! Your kids are lucky to have a mom like you. A mom who spoils each kid and make tie to spend special time with. A mom who make each birthday a big deal no matter how many friends come to spend time. You are awesome!
