Can't Sleep!

4:00 AM(ish)

It's an exciting day here for our family....

I have seriously felt like a kid counting down until Christmas ever since I made my appointment 2 months ago.  I knew I was going to have a hard time falling and staying asleep last night/tonight. I always do the night before. I even took Melatonin (usually knocks and keeps me out) in hopes for a smooth night. It's been over 2 hours of trying to shut my brain back off after getting up to use the bathroom, but it is just not happening.

My girls are dying with anticipation too.  Since probably the 30-day countdown, they have been asking DAILY, "How many more days until we find out what the baby is?" We've all switched a gazillion times what we think, but here are the results of the latest poll conducted yesterday morning:

Reese: BOY
Claire: GIRL
Everett: GIRL (pretty sure he just repeated the last word I said..."Everett, boy or girl?")
Rachel: GIRL
Tom: BOY

Tom and I have zero inklings. That's just whatever we randomly happened to spout off at the moment. Tom and I have discussed so many times what we're hoping for and the conclusion we've come to is that we are TRULY happy it's not up to us!  We've always gotten what we've wanted, but this time we seriously would NOT be able to decide! I go back and forth every few days. We would LOVE for Everett to have a brother, and really, boys are fun. Insane (at least mine), but so much FUN!  But oh how I would love another little girl!  I LOVE little girls...the sweetness, the calmness (at least mine), the dolling up!

Heard around our house:
Reese: "Well, if it's a boy, we would have another silly entertainer!"
Claire, a few weeks ago in expressing how much she wants it to be a girl: "I just don't know what it's like to have a little sister!"
Claire, very matter-of-factly repeated for a week straight: "I KNOW it's a boy."

So as you can see, we're one undecided bunch. But luckily we don't have to decide. Here's hoping for a cooperative baby!!!
