No More Monkey's Jumpin' On the Bed!

Two little monkeys jumpin' on the bed,
One fell off and bumped her head!

Momma called the doctor (after first frantically calling my sister, then friend),
and the doctor said, "No more Clairey's jumpin' on the bed!"

All stitched up
I'm hoping these stitches are tight enough. I guess I'm just a little more picky with scarring on the face. Any expert stitch people out there?

The very sweet PA who did the stitches. Claire was so happy to have had a girl do it! And to have gotten 4 suckers!

Oh my Clairey! What am I going to do with this little monkey? Two sets of stitches in one year's time.  She and Reese were playing "zoo keeper" on the bed and at some point rammed her head into an edge on her headboard.  Poor girl!  She was pretty brave again--definitely squirmier since she had to get the numbing shots unlike when she cut her neck, but was overall pretty darn tough!  She was a lot more upset when it initially happened this time though and kept crying "I just knew this was a bad day!" This girl will for sure have some pretty good war wounds from growing up. I should probably invest in a helmet.

Oh my goodness! You have had your fair share this year! I can't believe it! Poor little Claire. And poor momma!

Ah, a nice little scar on the forehead will be a good conversation starter. ;) She's just trying to get you prepped for all the injuries that come with an active boy!

Oh cute girl. I dread the serious injury moments, especially when they involve blood. Hats off to you for making it through yet another one! If that were Ruthie she would totally declare that it was all worth it just to get FOUR suckers! Maybe it was all a ploy ;).

If you're worried about the scar, see if you can get a consult with a plastic surgeon ASAP. They're not just for boob jobs. ;)

(And I'm not judging breast augmentation--it's a wonderful procedure.)

Ha ha! Jen, you're awesome. I actually just called today and scheduled an appt. with a plastic surgeon just to cover all our bases. Tom and I are just unsure if it's as closed up with the stitches as it should be. Thanks!

Cole did that twice in two weeks! 2 scars close by on his head. We opted both times for stitches over the offer of glue or tape. I wanted the smallest scar possible. 3 years later and they are very faint. Both of his are in the exact same spot as Claires. They will fad with time. I have a very jagged scar between my eyes from when I was her age. My parents opted for butterfly tape. I think stitches would have not left such a crazy scar. But now, I can't even see the scar!
