Our Failed Date With Mitt

Tom and I tried to go on a hot date last night to the Romney/Ryan rally that was in town.

The online tickets were apparently given out like Halloween candy though. It was absolutely nuts! Cars were backed up for miles. Maybe we should have camped out.

We were sad we couldn't get in, but we're hoping that that is a good sign for Colorado!

So instead, we went and bought a pair of boots for me. You know, to help grow the economy. (I'm pretty boring in the boot department...just a casual pair of Old Navy sweater boots in case you were dying to know.) To further grow the economy, we then went to Cold Stone where we were accidentally given the "student discount" because we look so young.  Ha! Actually, the first thing I thought from the picture above is how old I'm looking. The camera phone and face I'm making certainly weren't doing me any favors.

Claire was cute this morning when she climbed into bed with me and said, "That's sad that you didn't get to see 'Nitt Romedy'."

Any of my local buddies have better luck seeing "Nitt"?

I love that you tried to go to the rally! I've listened to probably too many things about this election, it gets me kinda worked up if I think about it too much. Nice to hear they're getting support in CO!

How sad! We listened to it on the radio. :)

Bummer you didn't make it in. This rally was all over fox news yesterday, and I really hope it's good for Mitt. Good excuse for a date night, though.

You're way more political than me.

Braden calls them Rock Obama and Mick Romney. Hopefully you'll get to see him speak after he becomes our new president. :)
