My Favorite Time of Day

In the afternoon, I get to kick it with this chick!

Reese heads to school, Everett goes down for a nap, and it's just Claire and me. "Mommy-Clairey Time!" she loves to call out!

She would still nap if I was forceful enough, but she's at the point where she takes forever to fall asleep at night if she does.

The afternoon was once my much cherished "me" time, but she really is so pleasant now that I really quite enjoy her company.

We either talk, watch a show together, play some sort of make-believe, or she will often just play quietly beside me while I work on a project. Sometimes I get fired from playing though if I'm not doing it quite right. (A couple weeks ago she walked upstairs mid-play then called down from the loft, "Mommy, actually you're all done playing." :)

What would I do without my Clairey? Love her so much!
