Are We There Yet?!

3 week span, 2 road trips, 60+ hours in our van. I'm never driving again. Oh, the first 50 hours weren't so bad. Other than being asked what state (or country by Claire) we were in every 15 minutes, the kids were fairly well behaved.  It was just the last 10 or so that really did us in.

Tom got a kick out of me attempting to read "Love and Logic" while repeatedly getting screamed at and kicked in the back of the head by a certain little crazy person sitting directly behind me.

Have I mentioned that Claire is currently going through some temporary(?) insanity issues?

Yep, no more road trips for a long bit. If you need to find me, I should be at home in my PJ's eating Oreos.

And in true Rachel fashion, I may or may not get those trips blogged. I kind of suck at that. Speaking of....where are all of you?!  I'm glad there are still a few of you die-hards like me. Keep blogging, people!

That is a lot so close together. Still don't know how you had the gumption to do the second after the first, but good for you. Enjoy the oreos - you soooo deserve them.

I'm totally laughing right now. Remember how much Claire reminds me of Londyn? I totally just read that book a few months ago. I agree with the basic premises (the whole lots and lots of choices thing really makes sense, in terms of how everything has to be her idea or she won't do anything.) But I haven't had much luck putting it into practice. I think some of their suggestions are pretty impractical. (Have a friend come meet me at the store to take my screaming child home? Are you kidding?) But it did get me thinking about different strategies to try with her, and that's worth a read I think.

I also love that you're still blogging. It seems like hardly anyone does it anymore so I'm glad you're a die hard too! I cannot imagine a road trip like that with all the kids. You're my hero.

We're about to venture on a huge roadtrip of our own. Do you have any great pointers before we leave?!?!?
