Claire's birthday---brought to you by bears, pinterest, Chuck E. Cheese, and the number 3!
Tom and I cannot get enough of this little girl! She is killing us lately with how funny and adorable she is! I seriously just want to squeeze her and her little chipmunk cheeks! So I do! I have so much that I want to share about this little lady, but right now it's all about her actual birthDAY.
She woke up as a big 3 year old to balloons and special pancakes. She was thrilled that I had "bought bear pancakes".
You know, the pre-made dead-bear pancakes you can pick up at your local Target. (The eyes are just a little freaky. The ones on pinterest were cuter. She seemed to love them just the same!)
Next up was a visit to Build-a-Bear. We had never done this before, but I knew it would be right up her alley. She immediately fell in love with a bear with rainbow hearts all over it. Bears and hearts--her two loves.

When it was time to pick an outfit, she looked all around then told me she didn't want any clothes for it. You couldn't leave Build-a-Bear without any accessories could you?! I kept pointing things out like princess outfits and other fancy dresses, but she still wanted nothing to do with them. She finally set me straight that the reason was because there were no yellow clothes. Oh yes, yellow...yet another love! I found a little hair-dryer/brush set that although wasn't yellow, seemed to more than pass the test.

After naps and other fun things (like picking Tom up from work since he wrecked his car in the snow the day before), we headed to Chuck E. Cheese. This was a much better one than where we went with Reese. It had all the old-school stuff that I remember as a kid. Don't ever change Chuck E.! The girls seriously had a blast gettin' down with "the band".

Oh Chuck E., you did it again! Thanks for providing such a fun evening!
We finished off the night back at home with cupcakes complete with a yellow candle!
All in all, I think it was a fun, successful day for Claire. I even got the best compliment from Reese..."Mom, you make us the best birthdays ever!" I wouldn't normally write something like that on here, but I'm so glad they feel that way. It's important for me to make them feel like the special people they are.
Happy birthday, my sweet Claire-bear!

I wish I could have been there for her birthday. You do make the best birthday's, Rachel. I did find something to go with her bear. It's in the right color and it even has a heart. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE!!!
I agree! You do make the best birthdays ever. Can I be one of your kids??
How fun. I may have to steal some of those pinterest ideas for Josie's birthday. Claire is a darling girl, I'm so glad she loved her birthday. I agree that it's so important to make them feel like #1 on their birthday.
Also, I want Reese's boots. So cute!
Happy Birthday to Claire! Tell her yellow is my favorite color, too! :)
p.s. Sorry to hear that Tom wrecked his car...
Okay, so I seriously want to adopt them!!!could the pictures of your girls dancing be any cuter?? You are such a cute mom! With some of the cutest kids ever!!
P.s. Ya, huge bummer about toms car wreck! What happened?
Happy Birthday Claire Bear! She is the cutest thing ever with her new build-a-bear. Your girls are so styling in all those cute boots, too.
So sorry about Tom's wreck. Does this mean the car with no AC is no longer?
I understand how you feel. Ruthie is the same way - so stinkin' cute. I love how kids get in to "their thing" like bears, hearts and yellow. I'm glad you had a fun day making your kiddos so happy. And, yeah, what's the car wreck story?
Hey, you've got to brag sometimes! And it's true, you do make the best birthdays. Your girls look so trendy in their little boots and skinny jeans. Sounds like a fun day.
Happy birthday Claire!! Can she really be three already? You really do make the best birthdays. And the cutest kids. Love the bear pancakes. Bummer about Tom's car. Glad he's okay. Time for a van??
Happy Birthday, Claire! What a doll, she is. You have the most beautiful kids AND I'm going to hire you to do all my kids' birthdays from now on, Rachel. You go all out! We're keeping things simple this year, but Clara did go to Chuck E. Cheese with her cousins this year...a place I always dread. You are seriously a good sport-either that or just like your mom (a kid at heart). Looks like it was a great day for the Claire-Bear!
She is adorable. I'm glad your kids appreciate all the effort you put into their parties. You're a great mom, Rachel.
So cute! I can't wait to take her to Build-A-Bear!
Happy birthday, Clairebear! I just love her. She's such a cute and fun 3 year-old.
