Naturally I would be writing about Thanksgiving the day before Easter. It only makes sense. I'm just bound and determined to get my holiday posts finished up no matter what time of year. Disneyland and the big holidays just all happened around the "I feel like crap and don't feel like blogging" stage of pregnancy.
We headed to Idaho for Thanksgiving. I don't remember all the details, but I do remember our LOOOOONG drive. It should normally take about 13 hours, but due to bad weather I think it took us 17(?) hours. And our DVD player broke about an hour into the trip. Shockingly it was the best behaved the girls had ever been on a road trip. It was a "back in the good ol' days" car ride. We sang lots and spotted all the many "buffalo" along the way. We didn't completely lie about there being buffalo. There were a bunch at the beginning and from that point on Reese had decided that every cow was also a buffalo. No harm done. It mixed things up a bit from the normal mooing we usually do along the way.
We got there late at night, chatted for a bit with those who were still up, then headed to bed. The next day was the big Thanksgiving feast. The Bjorkmans don't mess around...check out all those homemade pies! Sitting around the table with this bunch, even when it's not Thanksgiving, is always my favorite part of being there. Not necessarily because of the eating (although that is of course a perk), but because of all the fun chats. Tom's family really is pretty great!

Sadly, I didn't get a ton of pictures. I forgot my battery charger. I did get a few pictures of the cousins though. The Bjorkmans are spread all over the map so the girls don't get to see these cousins quite as much. So the time with them is always very cherished. My girls had a blast!

And of course, a little reading time with Grandma is a must.
And due to not many pictures and my lack of memory (pregnancy brain), that's going to sum up our Thanksgiving adventure 2010!
Now for Christmas....

Yay--I'm proud of you for blogging about it! I so need to follow suit and catch up on the year (or two) that I was a totally crappy blogger. I think I may just go do a post on Blake's bday from almost 7 months ago. What a fun Thanksgiving! I can't wait to hear about Easter :). I bet you are the cutest preggo mommy! Any names yet??? How's this for one long, rambling thought interspersed with random questions. So while I'm at it...I can't believe it was a year ago that we were all together for women's conference--where does time go?
I loved reading about your Thanksgiving in April:) I hope you get feeling better... how many more weeks do you have before the new babe?
Man, I still have to post about Christmas too. I thought I was caught up till I looked at my camera and realized I haven't downloaded any pictures since our trip to Disneyland in Nov.
40 days to go huh? I would say I wish I was you except that I had a freaky dream last night that I was being forced to deliver my baby 5 weeks early for no reason. I think I'll just let her keep cooking for a while. Are you getting so excited though? How're you feeling?
What a fun Thanksgiving!! I was totally with you in the pregnancy funk at that time though...I remember wanting to eat all that yummy food so bad but just couldn't! How are things going for you pregnancy wise now? I hope you are feeling good!!
That was fun going down memory lane for Thanksgiving:). We had fun seeing you guys and I know that Andrew loved seeing his cousins!
Rachel, thanks for the continual crack-ups! You always make me laugh. Hey, at least you're getting to your backlog of posts and events. I'm sure most people can't say that!
