The Sister-in-law Formerly Known As Rebekah

Tom's sister Becky came to visit us over Memorial Day weekend. We were thrilled to have her come out and had some fun plans arranged. Those plans were obviously slightly interrupted by the hail storm, but we still had a really great time with her. Reese and Claire immediately warmed up to Aunt Becky, and in some instances preferred her...

Claire cuddling right up.
And I believe this was a moment when I was told to "leave and go take a shower." And those instructions weren't from Becky.
A little outing while Tom and I were doing some outside clean-up.
Other than Becky being our perma weekend babysitter, we did all get the chance to head on up to Estes Park on Memorial Day. We started by visiting the Stanley Hotel. ("The Shining" hotel. P.S. Tom and I have stayed there before and it is spooky.)
I believe that the hotel was the highlight (or "focal point") of Estes Park for Tom. Mine was renting a Pontoon boat for a quick jaunt in the lake.

I think all the girls agreed with me...

We finished up the trip with some lunch and homemade ice cream and were then all pretty tuckered out.
After a quick rest, we headed back outside for a dip in the "pool" and some barbequed hot dogs.

The girls waving goodbye to Aunt Becky on Tuesday morning.
Thanks for coming out to see us Becky! We truly do appreciate it. We are also super excited with our visitor line-up for the next month or so. It's so fun to have people come hang out with us in our neck of the woods. The invitation for more visitors is always open. Come one, come all.

So jealous that you've been to the Stanley Hotel and even spent the night there. So cool! I'm definitely going to have to get up there sometime.

And Claire's flying piggies in the boat are adorable!

Your title to this post cracks me up. It looks like you guys had a great time with Becky despite having to clean up from the hail storm. That is cute that Reese and Claire latched onto Becky and were good buddies:).

Becca, Tom did an audit on the hotel a few years back. It was definitely cool, but also definitely kind of freaky.

Karen, I figured my title wouldn't make much sense unless you're a Bjorkman. Glad you got a kick out of it.

Fun weekend! Well, aside from the whole home disaster thing. One of these days I will be your visitor. I'm committed to making that happen eventually. :) Oh and where did you get that blow-up pool with the shade? That is exactly what we need. Would it be big enough for a 6-year-old?
