Little Piece of Reese (3 years old edition)

Yep, one more Reese post.

I talk an awful lot about what a firecracker Reese is, and while that is all true, there is oh so much more to this adorable little lady!!!

  • She is such a goofball and makes us laugh so much!

  • She's adventurous. She has no fear when it comes to climbing, sliding, or playing things like superman with mommy. And watch out, she's been known to jump on you from behind without any warning.

  • She's the best prayer reminder-er. Before every meal she shouts out with a smile and squinty eyes, "Ope, we gotta say a prayer." We even said a prayer in Costco over a sample mini pizza a couple weeks ago. I wasn't the slightest bit embarrassed to do it, just proud.

  • She loves to dance and be dramatic...when she thinks nobody's watching of course.

  • She continues to have such a love for animals. She's especially become great little buddies with Spike, the chihuahua around the corner. We go on walks to visit him often.

  • Sassy, yes. BUT she can actually be quite tender-hearted. She's so concerned for all little babies and just wants to take care of them. Especially her little sister. She's always sure to protect her if other kids are around. And if Claire's crying, she tries to comfort her. In the car she'll say in a high baby voice, "It's okay Cwaire, we're almost there." ("Care" has now switched to "Cwaire".) She also likes to play with her (sometimes).
  • Her bestest little buddies these days are Sadie and Madi. Or as she calls them, her "kids".

  • This girl and her purses!!! My word! If you're ever missing something, look in one of her "purses". You know the old lady in the movie "Dirty Dancing" who drops her purse on the ground and a bazillion things fall out of it as she says "Such junk. Such junk". Well, I'm pretty sure that's going to be Reese in about 80 years....except hopefully not the clepto part. Anything can be turned into a purse and there are ALWAYS the most random things inside. I won't let her take purses to friends houses or in stores for the fear that we might accidentally leave with something of theirs. This picture is actually not all that great of an example as it is a gift bag stuffed with mostly toys. She's usually more creative in her selections.
  • She is my brownie-buddy. She and I have begun a tradition to make brownies together pretty much every Sunday night. And we come pretty close to eating the whole pan by ourselves.

  • My favorite phrase of hers is "Silly me!" She usually says this when she thinks nobody's in the room or listening. If she drops something or forgets something, she laughs to herself and says "Silly me!" So cute. She also says this to me if I forget something, "Oh, silly mommy!"

If you can't tell, we're kind of obsessed with our daughter and love all the sweet little pieces that maker her up!

Awe Reese. We love her! She is such a crack up, what a fun post to remember all the funny little Reese quirks. You'll die laughing at this post in a year, two...ten remembering this fun stage of hers.

What a cute girl! I think I need to start a tradition with Declan like you and Reese have! Love all the sassy pictures!

I love reading all about your cute little Reese! I LOVE that you and Tom let her get her ears pierced! It took me forever to convince Andy to let Sammy do hers. Lice finally convinced him. Glad she had a great birthday... and what a steal on the play washer!

Quick question... how do you do Reese's hair like that in the pigtails? I'm dressing up as Joy Turner from My Name Is Earl and she does her hair similar to that.

She is such a sweetie (and reminds me of my own little Miss in so many ways.) Do you think I can come over on Sunday to eat brownies with both of you? That sounds like a yummy tradition that I could totally get into!!

Happy birthday, Reese! She's gorgeous, Rachel. You'll need to keep an eye on her. And I love the washer/dryer you got for her. Rebecca would love something like that.

I personally will never tire of Reese posts. She is very entertaining in my eyes. I love that she goes for walks in her Cinderella dress. And the purse thing is so Londyn. They really are bffs and don't even know it.

Oh and I meant to say that washer/dryer is a total score. Between that and her kitchen toy, I think you guys have saved enough to put her through a year or two of college already.

Those are some pretty sweet dance moves. Does she learn those from you or Tom? And I hate to admit it, but I would've been embarrassed to pray over the samples at Costco. Good job you.
