Friday night Tom and I went on a date. A really good one. I'll admit that we aren't always the best in the whole dating your spouse department (money, babysitters, etc.). We're getting better. Anyway, at the end of the date we ended up at "Good Times" and were eating ice cream and sharing some fries. We came to the very last fry and without hesitation Tom picked it up, dipped it in ketchup, then put it in my mouth. Right then it hit me....he always gives me the last fry, the last bite of cake, the last of whatever. Sound silly that that would mean so much to me? Well, it wouldn't if you knew how much he and I enjoy food and that we don't particularly enjoy sharing! As I sat there thinking about it, that simple little "silly" act is actually a very good example of how he treats me in our marriage. He puts me first. Totally how it should be (and vice versa of course) and totally appreciated. Love that man!
