I am officially done nursing Claire! Hallelujah! I'm sure nobody cares, but this is an exciting time for me. I am definitely not one who feels bonded to my child through nursing nor do I think it's more convenient than a bottle. Total pain in the batooty in my opinion. I only do it because I know it's good for them and because it's free. I went as long as I possibly could and now my milk is completely gone. And I am completely guilt free because, holy moly, I fought so dang hard to nurse this girly from start to finish. From battling thrush several times to being completely raw and feeling pain all the way up until she was 9 months old, and then even downing some of that NASTY "mother's milk" herbal tea to help my milk supply. Yep, totally patting myself on the back for all that! All for the love of our little people! I'm done, and I'm thrilled!

Congrats Nursing sucks. I am SO SO So proud of you. I don't think enough people get patted on the back for the selfless act so congrats I am patting you.
Do you think I will be able to nurse twins without supplementing? That's one part of twins that stresses me out a little...
Good for you Rachel! You should be proud. That tea is disgusting!!
I love the new Halloween theme- and Reese's very fashionable Halloween fingernails. Glad it came off the table:)
Way to go.!
That's funny. I was just thinking about doing a post of the reasons why I will miss nursing. I'm just glad I don't have to drink that nasty sounding tea. Sounds like you made it longer with Claire. Way to be tough!
Congrats. I nurse for the sames reasons as you! I'm only four weeks in though and although I'm not as sore as I was, I'm envying you right now.
I'm done nursing too, and I'm kind of happy about it too. Nursing anywhere but home really has not ever been comfortable for me. The only thing I don't like is going downstairs to make a bottle in the middle of the night. Next time you should try Fenugreek for your nursing supply. It's a supplement from GNC. I used it with both of my boys, and it works great.
I remember you saying a few posts back the Claire won't take a bottle, or a sippy with breastmilk or formula......Amelia is the same way and my milk supply is definitely waning.....what are you doing?!?!
Congrats and can I say I'm already jealous even though this baby hasn't even been born yet? Nursing is the thing I'm dreading most. I do it because its free and it makes me lose weight (I'm so selfish!) but I really never enjoyed it at all and was in pain for the entire year.
