Well, I'm off for my first Reese free day ever! I have never not slept in the same place as her or gone more than 10 hours without seeing her. I'm heading to Utah tonight for my friend Marissa's wedding and Reese is NOT coming! I repeat---Reese is NOT coming!
Her reaction when she heard she wasn't invited.Of course I'm excited and I know it's only a day (I come home early Sunday), but I know I'll miss her like crazy! I find it funny how by the end of most days I cannot wait to get her down to bed, but then a half hour after she's down I'm whining to Tom about how I miss her. Pathetic I know. But don't they always seem extra cute when they're sleeping?
Tom already has a fun-filled day planned with her which includes taking her to the park and also out to lunch. Cute huh?
Wish me luck! Or better yet...wish Tom luck! I am so looking forward to a plane ride without having to wrestle a munchkin!!!

I always say that about our kids. I laugh about things Ben says and does, but then when he's up I just want some duct tape. I think parenthood is just that way.
When the boys went to Utah with Marijke, I was so excited about not having the fighting around here, but once they were gone I wished they were back. I missed them, plus they helped keep my sanity with Benjamin.
It's crazy that life is that way! I am the same way with all my kids! I must say though I do enjoy a little time away!! Have a wonderful trip!
Yay! What a fun little vacation. Enjoy it! Tom will probably appreciate you SOO much when you come home (I know Justin was sure grateful when I got home from San Fran)!
Good luck and have fun letting your hair down! Back in May I left Eden with Dean while I traveled to Vegas for Katiebug's wedding. I have to tell you that it was truly the turning point, as she turned into a Daddy's Girl during those 3 days and hasn't been the same since. Good thing you'll only be away for one day. :)
Hey Rachel! Long time no see! Reese is getting so big... and so stinkin' cute! It's been fun to read your blog and find out what's been going on in your life. I had no idea you were expecting again. Congrats! Do you know if it's a boy or girl? Or are you going to be surprised? I'm getting a bit baby hungry myself and try to get Andy to just talk about it... what a joke. It's funny your in Utah for a wedding... I was just there last weekend for a wedding, myself. Just before that Andy and I went to Vegas and I thought of you.
