Here comes munchkin #2!
Yes, that little indistinguishable looking blob is our teeny-tiny developing baby who is planning on joining us on or around December 1st later this year. So that makes me about 9 weeks pregnant! My doctor had me go in for an ultrasound last week because of some minor concerns, and everything looks great! I saw the speedy little heart-beat as soon as the tech started the ultrasound and I was thrilled to pieces. (My doctor says once you see the heart-beat there is less than a 5% chance to miscarry.)

So things are going great and I actually haven't really been sick. Not in comparison to Reese. And I have NEVER been hungrier in my entire life! So if the theory holds true about opposite pregnancy symptoms meaning the opposite gender, there is a definite possibility we could be getting a big chubby boy. We are seriously so excited and honestly don't care one way or the other as far as gender goes. I got my one girl so whatever else wants to follow is fine by me.
Reese of course has no clue what's going on. I asked her if she wants a baby sister and her answer was, "Nooooo." Then I asked her if she wanted a baby brother and her answer was, "Nooooo." Sorry little lady, looks like you're out of luck. :)

Congrats!!!! I am seriously just so thrilled for you guys. You are such amazing, adorable, loving parents and munchkin #2 will be so lucky to join your family! I love Reese's opinion on it :-)!?!
Oh and I loved your babysitting stories--too crazy!
and I just have to add that I feel so lucky to be the first of your many admirers to comment--that hasn't happened for me in ions :-).
How fun!!! Congratulations!! Baby number 2 is fun cause you know what to expect! I had very different pregnancy symptoms with all mine but if you do have a little boy You'll just love him! Boys are so sweet! Then again another girl would be great too for little Reese. That's what I call WIN WIN! Good for you guys! New babies are the BEST!!
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So excited for you guys. My theory with #2 gender-wise is it's totally win-win. If you get a boy - great, you've got a boy and a girl. And if you get a girl - great, your girls get a sister. (And every girl needs a sister, right?) Okay I just read Leah's comment above and it totally sounds like I copy catted. I didn't, I promise. Anyway - congrats! Fun news!
Im so excited for you! Congratulations. That's so awesome. I hope you don't get too sick.
Congratulations Rachel! After this only 8 more to go!
Congratulations!! We are really excited for you guys! Glad to hear that everything is going good : ) Hooray for #2!!
Congrats!!! Yay!!! That is so exciting - I am so happy for you guys.
Congratulations! That is so exciting! I am so happy for you guys. I am hoping you have a girl because there can not be too many little 'Reese's' in the world, plus my boys need the cutest girls ever to marry!
Congratulations! Two kids are so much fun! It's great that they will be close in age. They will be such good friends!
Congratulations! Reese's response reminds me of my niece while looking for flower girl dresses: do you like this one? No! How about this one? No! It turns out she doesn't like a single dress in existence. That could be a problem!
That is so exciting. Congrats!
Yay! I'm so happy for you! If you ever think you don't want two kids, I'd be happy to take one of 'em. :-)
Congratulations Rach; that is exciting! I will have to say this second pregnancy is the COMPLETE opposite of my first, and I am having another girl so I figure anyway you look at it you have a 50/50 chance. Interesting about not miscarrying if you can see that heartbeat; is that only if you see it and not if you hear it? My doc doesn't do ultrasounds at his office so I never get the TINY baby ultrasound- so cute!
Post number 15! I have said it before and I will say it again CONGRATULATIONS to you, Tom and REESE! I got your email and I decided to post a comment instead of emailing back. I am glad that the ultra-sound turned out good. I wasn't real sick with Gavin but ultra hungry...who knows? I hope you have a little boy, that would be awesome. Love your GUTS... "MY NINGA"
Congrats Rachel (and Tom too)! You've got a lot of gestating to do in the coming months, so that's plenty of time for Reese to come around. :) Isn't it amazing that it takes 17,000 calories and 21 hours of sleep per day to support the development of a baby when it's only the size of a jelly bean?
Oh GOSH when I saw your post I almost cried! I don't know why, I am just so excited for you guys! How AWESOME!!! I am glad that you are feeling good so far hope it stays that way! I agree with Leah, if you have a boy you will learn a new love and if it is a girl then your husband will really be out numbered :) but he will love all the attention his girls will give him! :) Anyway I couldn't be more excited! You know I was thinking one of these days we should chat on the phone to catch up! You can email me at musheymellow@netzero.com
hip hip hooray!!that's such great news. I'm so excited for you. I'm glad you aren't feeling sick and I'm jealous that you are so hungry and have a reason to eat!! Congrats!
Congratulations, Rachel and Tom and Reese. I'm so glad you are expecting again. I remember talking to you about having more when we hung out at your mom's house. Take care of yourself. I can't wait to see cute pregnant pictures. You have to be sure to post some.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! There is no better news then BABY news. Did you know that your baby actually has a heart beat at just 18 days??? I'm so happy that God has given us woman the gift of bearing children! What a blessing!
So exciting Rachel and Tom, congratulations!! Annie Tanner
Rachel, I know we talked about the next baby a couple months ago, but I didn't realize you guys were ready, so way to go! I'm glad you're past the miscarriage scare. That must be a huge relief. We're so happy for your family. Good luck with your pregnancy.
What a photogenic little munchkin. Congrats to your little family!!
Congratulations!
Wow! Congratulations Rachel & Tom!! I'm sure little Reese will change her mind once she realizes she has a playmate!!!
I'm so excited for you! Congratulations! In many ways two kids are so much easier than one. Even better that you're feeling so good!
congrats from us! Yours is now the 4th baby I know coming in December...wonder what's going on this year! so happy for you!
Congtats Bjorkmans! Reese's reaction is so funny! At least she is honest about her feelings:) Hopefully when he/she gets here she will feel differently!
Congratulations! It took Nate at least 3 months to warm up to his baby brother. And that was after he was born. I hear girls warm up faster, so good luck with that.
CONGRATS!! Yeah!! I am so excited for you guys!! You sound so much like me...my pregnancy with "baby two" has been so much different...so I SWORE I was having a boy...and then come to find out...it was another girl!! So who knows...but I'm with you...at least you have your girl so whatever follows is GREAT!! I hope your pregnancy keeps going smoothly!! CONGRATS AGAIN!! Whatever it is we all know it is going to be so CUTE...little Reese is a doll!!!
I'm so glad you are feeling so well! Eat up! By the way, baby Bjorkman is adorable! Ha ha!
Yeah! Congrats! That is so exciting! Reese has plenty of time to warm up to the idea - what a cute response from her! This is Amy Farnsworth from the ward by the way :) We are new to the blogging world, and I found your blog through Hollie's.
congrats!
Just a thought I had today on second children- you know that they will be different, and everyone says how different each child is, but every once in a while it really catches you by surprise. You won't know how they will be different until all of the sudden it is there. Have fun with all of those discoveries.
oh, congrats!! That's so exciting!!!
I've posted my update too (finally). Yep, sigh, there's only one way out now.
It was super fun to see you this weekend. I sure do miss you. Oh, by the way, I think you left your tennis shoes here. Guess you better come back and get them.
Yahoo!! I am now SUPER excited for you guys to come out in June....I will get to meet Reese, and new baby...
YEAH!!! that is so exciting. Michael and I are talking about having another one but even after two successes I am a little gun shy. I have heard that about gender and I can tell you one thing. With Kessa I craved only good for you foods. I have never eaten that well - and towards then end I had to remind myself to eat because nothing sounded good. With James all I wanted was sweets from the second I got pregnant. He still is my little sweet tooth!!!
Rachel, where are you? Ok, so I'm bummed we didn't get to hang out very much at BP!!! I'm so glad you came and wish we could've talked more. Hopefully next year? Although you will have a new baby so might now make it. Hopefully I'll have a new baby too and won't be there either. Let's plan on the year after that (o;
Congrats!! I love seeing those ultrasounds. They still amaze me...
