Okay, so I hope I haven't ruffled too many feathers and that I still have some friends out there. I was actually surprised to see how many people agreed with me on some of the things. I really wasn't expecting that.
But keeping on the subject of church, I do have some pictures that I've been meaning to post. The first few are of little Reesey all dressed up for her first day of nursery that I snapped right before we left for church last week.
Quite a bit wind-blown, but this picture gives a good idea of her big bouffant hair that I am now able to round-brush. It cracks me up that I round brush and hair-spray a 1 year old's hair.
Our failed attempt of a family picture with our camera's self-timer. I fear that this is how all our family pictures will be now that Hollie is gone.
Now this picture has nothing to do with church other than her dress, but I couldn't resist showing it. Her favorite place in the house lately is our laundry room/half bathroom. She runs in there, shuts the door and usually just sits on top of laundry and laughs. But yesterday she was a little quieter than usual so Tom went in to see what she was doing. The top of her head was all wet and so was the whole seat of the toilet. She dunked her head in the toilet! (Click on the picture to see the wet hair better.) Have I mentioned that my daughter is crazy?!

Her dresses are adorable! Love 'em. What a cutie she is.
That story is too funny. AND, I really like her dresses too. She's got style!
I laughed so hard when I read that she had dunked her head in the toilet! The look on her face in that picture is too funny!
Kevin has a cousin named David Bowman, but I don't think he painted that picture. It is a beautiful picture. I love the bouffant hair and the dresses. Your kid is so adorable. And I love how the family picture turned out. It shows more of your personalities.
Reese is absolutely adorable!!!
Reese has the best wardrobe of any 18 month girl. I am jealous...
I have to say all of my friends have kids that do the cutest things. Emily's Rebecca sings Ingrid Michaelson, Cynthia's Jacey flys kites while laying down and Rachel your Reese dunks her head in the toilet! And just look at the expession on her face! She is ADORABLE!!! Owen is about 2 1/2 months behind her and loves to dunk his head in the dogs water dish. I'm sure that if he was tall enough he would be dunk his head in the toilet too. Kids, got to love them!!
I tried to comment on your last post but I think it kept timing out...due to so many comments?? Impressive. I can't remember what I was going to say other than I will definitely pass some little girl clothes your way. Right now Jocelyn is actually wearing mostly her own new things. I didn't discover the Children's Place until the girls were about two or three, so their wardrobes improved vastly after that.
Love Reese's nursery dress! Jocelyn's favorite thing to do is splash in the toilet...next to digging in the trash can and snacking on the dog food. What a dream.
I think your feistiness is refreshing...that's how we grow 'em in our household.
I have a friend who says that she loves toys that make noises because she knows where her kids are and what they are doing. I too have experienced Nate being too quiet and go to find he has been playing in the toilet. He dunked all of the baby toys in. Gross! Oh what fun kids are.
Oh Reese is just one of the cutest little girls I've ever seen. And that's pretty funny about the toilet. Curious little people they are :)
I love that she gave herself a swirly! Her hair is too cute!
The dresses are so cute. I love little girls dresses and congrats on getting her to nursery. That's such a great milestone!! And I think she must have learned the toilet trick from somewhere!!
She's so cute! Nursery is the BEST! We have one more month before Noah gets to go in. I can't wait!
Oh, wow! That is pretty sick! She's a cutie nevertheless. I love that polka dot church dress. So adorable!
That is freaking hillarious. And her sweet little innocent expression is priceless. I covet her wardrobe.
Last night I gave Will the eye as he was doing the dishes and started to fill up the casarole dish to soak. He dumped it out, got the soap, and grumbled "Dang that Rachel Koch."
Oh...lovely day when they enter nursery!
Love the dunking of the head...and ewwww, too!
What a little scamp! That is hilarious. I am always afraid Madi will play in the toilet one of these days that I forget to lock it.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her hair!!! It's like she all of the sudden grew so much more. I seriously laughed that you already have to round brush it. She looks so adorable and I love her dresses!?! I also love your dress--you always look so cute!
I am still laughing that she seriously dunked her head in the toilet. That cracks me up! I miss you and wished that you lived next door?!?
Before I comment on whether or not your daughter is cute I would like to know whether or not she will be voting Rep. or Dem. then I will give my opinion. Thank you.
Oh, she's so cute. Hooray for nursery, too.
And on the subject of Mormons, I saw this really cool post I thought you'd enjoy. http://thegabblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/just-for-record.html
Last but not least, I think you should become an Independent too. There's something so fun about belonging to a fringe party.
OH GOSH that is sooo funny!! That sounds like something my Grace would do!! :)
I was looking at the pictures with Ben on my lap. He said to me, "Reesie's so cute!" in an almost awestruck way. I was too funny.
I know that this comment comes a little late considering you posted this on Monday. The first picture of Reese reminds me of Shirley Temple. She looks very cute.
Ging- Oh sweet little Ben! I love that little guy.
Adam- Well, I can't speak for Reese as far as her political stand goes (because I can't understand her), but judging by her feistiness there's a good chance she might be siding with her momma.
Jen- So funny, that link you sent me to that woman's post ended up getting forwarded to me in an email from some random old guy in my ward. And to make it an even smaller world I'm meeting Gabi next week at a little blogging friends get-together.
Her hair is so adorable! I always said that if I had a girl I would round brush her hair as soon as she had enough. I knew someone when we were first married who did that for her daughter, and it was so cute! Something about all that fullness and body on top of those little toddlers is the cutest!!!
