'Tis the Season...

to capture every germ possible!
I don't know what's up with my little family. We've had all sorts of sicknesses over the last 2 1/2 weeks now. Reese started it with a fever for several days that topped out at about 102.5 then she got the worst yeast rash all over her bum. That took a doctor's visit, a prescription cream, and a week full of screams while changing her to go away. Then of course the Friday after Thanksgiving Reese and I were sick with the flu. Then Saturday night Tom got the flu. Then Reese threw up again on Monday. Now this week I have had a head cold and now PINK EYE...or eyes I should say. I woke up this morning and both eyes were sealed shut! That was a weird and kind of panicky feeling as I stumbled to the bathroom sink to try and wash them out so I could open them. They're huge and puffy and just plain gross. I've never had it so I'm being kind of a baby about it. I just hope Reese doesn't get it. Or Tom. He's been in Chicago all week for work. Welcome home Tom to your Quazimoto, germ infested wife.

I don't know the point of this post other than to say, feel sorry for me AND WASH THOSE HANDS!

I'll cuten (good word huh?) this post up with a picture of my silly little lady.

The other day she was being such a little stinker and wouldn't stop crying so I put her in her new winter coat, mittens, and boots and she walked around the house like this for a good half hour as happy as could be. She's always liked being bundled up.

I feel the exact same way about the germs! We all passed the flu bug around our house at Thanksgiving time, too. And now that that is over, Jake came home from a business trip yesterday with strep throat. I just know he's going to give it to all of us. Plus, he was just out of town, and now that he's back he gets to be a baby and lay in bed all day! So unfair. I wish it was me and I'm serious.

SICKNESS SUCKS!!!! I threw up TEN TIMES in one morning a couple of weeks ago, and seriously considered giving up the ghost. If I could do that of my own accord, I would've. I hope you feel better. Life is much happier when you're healthy.

Reese is too cute in her winter coat and gear! The girls used to have white furry coats like that and they were my favorite.

I hope everyone at your house gets feeling better soon. Wish we lived closer and we could have Reese come over and play for a few days while you recover.

Consider yourself felt sorry for.

That royally stinks! What a way to start out the season with a boom! It stinks even more that Tom's out of town. Isn't that when you just want your mom? Okay, so at least I do. Nobody can quite take care of you when you're sick like a mom.

I love, love, love that picture of Reese. I especially love those darling tights.

I hope you guys get feeling better!

Man oh man Rachel. That's a doosey. And how did you come down with pink eye before Reese? Isn't it usually the kiddies that spread it to the rest of the fam? I ran into a ward friend out running errands the other day and after her daughter and Austin had been playing for 15 minutes she tells me her son has pink eye and she's sure the whole family will get it. I excused myself and ran to the bathroom and washed mine and Austin's hands super thoroughly. Luckily we escaped. But seriously, being sick is no fun. No fun at all. Especially when you're sick and taking care of a sick kid. Those are the the days when you go into serious survival mode. This too shall pass!

great picture. i don't think she'll have a problem staying warm!

and we are ALWAYS sick over here. i have a cold, avery has roseola (same fever as reese for about 3 days and then breaks into a rash all over her body. She's miserable) and tyson probably gets a croupy cough about every 2 weeks. super fun!!

i'm hoping you guys start to get better soon!! hopefully everyone will be healthy for the christmas break!!
