Reese was counting down the days until her baptism and had all sorts of ideas of exactly how she wanted it to go. She came up to me a couple weeks before and said, "Mom, for my baptism invitation...." Umm, you're what?! Not exactly in my plans. Turns out she was wanting it to be just like her best little friend Sadie's baptism whose was just the month before. After talking to Tom, we decided that it would be fun to have some cute pictures of her outside in her dress so we might as well make invites for family while we were at it.
So that Sunday the plan was to wait for Tom to get home from meetings then Reese, Claire, and I could head out without the 2 littlest. As we waited though, the clouds got darker and darker. And it was full-on raining by the time he got home. Totally bummed, but I told her that we should go anyway and just see what we could do. It was pouring pretty hard, but we hid under the tree for a bit and it shielded us just enough to get some pretty cute shots.

Reese's lovely assistant who kept fluffing her dress. She totally cracked herself up!

We thought she was pretty hilarious as well. We also kept laughing every time she'd unintentionally walk in the background of the pictures. Cutest little photobomber.

What beautiful pictures! So glad you braved the rain.
Rachel, you are quite the photographer. I love these photos. Our invite is hanging on the fridge and I love looking at Reese's smiling face every time I open it.
Love the cute photographer's assistant! Ha ha - fluffing her dress. :) I figure if your kid is ASKING for you to take pictures of her, you pretty much can't say no! She is such a beauty. And I know you hear it all the time, but . . . THE HAIR!! :)))
Her hair reminds me of yours!
Oh my goodness! Could she be any more beautiful??? It's so crazy how she all of the sudden looks so old. I cracked up at her little dress fluffer and photobombing. Your kids couldn't be any cuter!
She is so beautiful! Hope her baptism was great! How are we old enough to have children getting baptized?!?!
