The Day After Christmas and Oh, So Much More!

Right after Christmas, we got to spend a week in Vegas with this bunch of Koch-o-nuts...

I seriously love my family! They are super fun and I seem to laugh a lot when I'm around them. Especially when Michael is in charge of coordinating fabulous sibling poses for family pictures....

A little behind the scenes of trying to get the grand kids to cooperate.
(Claire was being an uncooperative stinker, as usual.)

After family pics and a lovely Christmas brunch, we switched into our family Christmas pj's so we could start our afternoon of Sherie's excessive gift opening (I say that with love, Mom).
My parents completely surprised me with a nice Canon camera, by the way. I cried, I was so happy. (Bumble Bee Beanie Baby Christmas of 1996 anyone?) Some day I really should learn to use it the "right" way, but it's so very nice to have something again that automatically takes quick, and so-much-more-clear photos.

The leftover boys ended the night with a game of Risk.
A thrilling activity for us all....

The rest of the week was spent doing fun things like kickin' it at the park with cousins...

Seeing "Les Miserables" (Loved it!)...

And even jammin' at a couple rock concerts....
(more on The Killers' concert later)

Claire, for sure, deserves her own head-banging collage.
The girls' new love of the Disney show, "Austin & Ally", inspired their desire for all things musical for Christmas this year. It has all provided hours of entertainment.

And finally, we celebrated Tommy-boy's birthday on New Year's Eve. Dinner at Five Guys followed by family over for cake.

There were apparently many secrets to be shared....

Thanks for a great week, my dear familia! (Although I don't appreciate the getting-me-fat part.)

Look at all those Kochs! I love it!! And yippee for having a good camera!!! What nice parents you have! You should totally sue that crook who sold you the last one - piece of junk. :(

I think you had the best of both worlds this Christmas (by yourselves with your little family for Christmas day and then celebrating with the whole family in the days following!) Your family is gorgeous as always and I cannot believe how big all the children are getting!! In that picture with all the grandkids I couldn't figure out whose spouses they were, and then realized they were your nephews!!! Crazy how time flies!

I'm so glad you feel obligated to blog about the holidays because I love reading about your adventures. What a fun trip to Vegas! You should take Claire to the Killers concert next time... It looks like that little rockstar would fit right in.

You look so fit in these photos! I love the pj shirts your fam has on. I am glad you felt enough guilt to blog about the holidays.

Did you re-do your blog background? It is so cute. I really need to do something like that.

I love your family! I'm sitting here in bed giggling at those goofy pictures, t-shirts, and that game of Risk. I hope Brady doesn't grow up to like that and force us to play it with him on his birthday. Happy birthday, Tom. ;)
