Oh, so sorry to have bored you, Mr. Guest of Honor.

blessing circle: Steve, Tom, Everett, Ron, Jeff, Ben, Darrell Pennington
We weren't originally planning on blessing him at home, but Reese and I came down with strep throat the day before. Of course we did. We had so much family in town for both the blessing and our Bjorkman family reunion trip to Steamboat, that I was totally stressed out with the thought of getting everybody sick. We obviously couldn't take our strep throat to church, so Reese and I got on anti-biotics right away (Saturday), we cloroxed wiped the house down, got Brother Pennington to come over last minute, and did the baby blessing at home in the early afternoon. It ended up being absolutely perfect! Tom gave such a sweet blessing! It was even complete with the baby hold up!
I was sure to have Tom write everything down when he was done this time. I so regret not doing that with the girls.
I just realized that this is our first picture with all 5 of us together.
The top one is a bit better, but I have to include this other one because I think I look like my Grandma Cherie in it.
Strep throat wasn't enough to scare everybody off after the blessing, so we went ahead with our original plans to have everybody over for lunch.

Cousin bonding over their earrings.
We are so appreciative of everybody's extra effort to make it to our house for the blessing. It was a busy and somewhat stressful weekend, but it really meant a lot to us to have so much family there.
P.S. This was my first time with strep throat, and luckily because we caught it so early, it never really got to the point of hurting. I've heard it can be awful!

The first pictures of Baby E are so gorgeous and he really looks like his Dad in them.
I love the shot of Everett being held up Lion King style :-)
I am glad you didn’t get too sick and that the Blessing turned out beautifully.
Isn't that the way it always happens? I actually had all 3 of my girls blessed at home (well my parent's home in SLC) and I actually loved it that way.
Man, you guys have had bum luck with sickness lately! It sounds like it was still a lovely day though. Everett looks so cute!! Love the outfit. And I can't believe how grown up Reese looks in those family shots.
I had both my kids blessings written down, but I lost Austin's. With Ruthie, I wrote it on my blog so I know I have it. Even if you don't post it to the world, perhaps save it as a draft, just so you know where to find it a year from now.
Strep throat and blessings must go hand in hand, Zach and I got it right before Brady's! No fun at all, glad you didn't get it too bad, it was awful for us. Yuck. Hope you are all feeling better!
Your girls faces on those family shots are hilarious. I enjoyed doing my daughters blessing at home too. It was less stressful I thought. Everette is so adorable. He look so grown up in this blessing/church clothes. I think we just caught a case of strep here this week. Lame.
Rachel, I am so sorry you were sick--AGAIN! Looks like things were still great for the baby blessing. BTW, I have had your baby card/gift forever now. Maybe I'll get it in the mail this week. ;)
I guess it just takes having kids to get you sick. I always like to tell the story of when you were eight years old and I took you too our "family" doctor and he had no record of you(you were never sick). I'm glad we could come out there for the blessing. Sorry it ended up being so stressful. I miss you guys!
