As usual, I am way behind with all the things I've been wanting to blog about. And the more I skip, the more overwhelming blogging seems...so I'm just going to jump right in with Valentine's Day. I mean really, it just wouldn't seem right to skip over this holiday when there's a giant heart at the top of my blog.
I quite like Valentine's Day. I think it's just so cute. My friend Stacie posted about this idea she found a few years back about making heart shaped crayons to give as Valentine's. It was last minute, but I already had the supplies on hand to make them so it was easy. Reese and I had a fun time with them, but as you may be able to see in the collage below, a certain little someone was slightly less than thrilled because it was an activity that didn't involve being held the entire time!!!

Claire chippered up when it was time to deliver them to a few of her little friends though...
As for me and my other love bug, he and I had a sweet little Valentine's night at home. We didn't do our traditional fondue, but while I put the kids to bed, Tom did make one of his gourmet meals---artichoke and sun dried tomato pasta. It was complete with homemade pasta noodles and lots of mess! Pretty fancy.
Oh, and I can't leave out one of my other Valentine's Day highlights.....for part of FHE we all went around saying something we loved about each other. When Reese got to Claire she said, "I love Claire because she shares her chips with me. And I even love her when she throws her poop on the floor!" I'll leave that story alone, but yes, those were two other very exciting Valentine's Day events at our house yesterday.
Well, we definitely all have our different reasons for loving each other around here, but it's for sure a house filled with lots of love! I'm pretty fond of all three of my love bugs. Happy Valentine's Day!

Aww look at how cute Reese writes her name! That's awesome. You're the cutest mom ever. I think I pretty much won the award for "Lamest Valentines Sent to Pre-school" this year.
You are too cute! I love that you always do such fun things for the holidays... but would you stop making the rest of us moms look soooo bad? Just kidding. I love the heart shaped crayon idea, I might have to try it. And please don't leave out the story. What the heck happened?
First, ditto that Reese's name is crazy cute. Second, you really are the best momma on the planet. Third, thank you thank you thank you for the reminder to make crayons--I bought the star shaped mold to make those for Eden's bday party next week and it totally slipped my mind. Lastly, I'm watching the bachelor on hulu as I type this--having the stars align for a blog post, your fb comment and brad is just too much for one moment. lol.
I love your blog! Your pics are gorgeous and your girls always look so cute in their outfits. Plus you make me laugh.
Aw come on. I want to hear the poop on the floor story! That totally got me laughing!
What a cute idea, Rachel! Reese and Claire look so festive in their pink/heart attire.
I love how Reese writes her name as well, that is so cute. The Valentines is such a good idea as well...we are always last minute and head to the store just in time to buy them from a box!! Congrats on being 25 weeks as well!
