Do the Claire-Bear Countdown....

5...4...3...
2!
Claire turned 2 on Thursday. If you ask her though she may just tell you that she's 4. But she is in fact 2.

Conversation on Thursday:
Me: Claire, how old are you?
Claire: 4! (trying to hold up 4 fingers)
Reese kind of mad: No, you're 2!
Claire really mad: No 2!
Hmmm...sounds like a 2 year old to me!

In honor of her obsession with hearts and the automatic nickname given if your name is Claire, we had a Claire-Bear-Care-Bear party.

She refused to wear the birthday hat and also needed a little encouragement/help from Daddy & Mommy to blow out the candles.
Okay, since I didn't come up with this cake idea I don't feel obnoxious in saying that I absolutely loved it! I saw it a year or so ago and remembered it once we had the Care Bear theme in mind. Seriously, compared to marshmallow fondant cakes this was way more fun and much easier! Time consuming as far as baking several layers, but you can be doing other things during the baking and cooling. Here's the awesome website where I got the idea from....The Idea Room (and her pictures are much prettier than mine!)

This little girl is full of so much spunk and we just love the heck out of her! Happy birthday Claire-Bear!

It's a good thing you have two cute little girls, because you have so many cute ideas (even if they are borrowed)! I mean, a rainbow cake would be fine for a boy I guess...ha ha!

Very adorable.

Okay so I had to come revisit this post because Jacey has decided on a "rainbow party" for her birthday this year. Mostly she asked for a treasure hunt party, and my mom is already doing a pirate theme for cousin's camp this year. So I talked her into a find-the-gold-at-the-end-of-the-rainbow treasure hunt instead. Anyway, that is all a long way of explaining that I came back to this post to steal your cake idea. I know, that's so unlike me, right? ;) And I couldn't leave without telling you again how awesome it is.
The end.
