"If She Doesn't Scare You..."

"...No Evil Thing Will"

Our ward trunk-or-treat was last Saturday and we showed up in full Halloween spirit.

Two cute Dalmatians, Cruella, & Jasper
Jasper missed the "look evil" instruction.
I was originally feeling too lazy this year to dress up and was completely ready to let my doggy obsessed dalmatians go at it alone. In the end it was too easy of a family costume to pass up though, so Tom and I pulled it together a couple days before. Go big or go home!

The girls getting candy from the other scary Cruella.
Our puppies loved it and can't wait to go at it again at another trunk-or-treat this weekend.
Happy Halloween!

Um, if I say that you are an awesome Cruella, is that offensive? Either way, the costumes are all completely awesome. I think you and your cutie-patootie family are the greatest thing since sliced bread. You are so clever and creative and such a FUN MOM!!

That is a great Cruella costume. Kevin and I are going to kind of match, but our kids don't match at all. We need to try the family matching thing one year. We could never out do you guys, though. You look awesome every year!

You all look so great. I always have big plan for coordinating costumes but it never quite happens!! Especially now that Abby won't let me pick her costumes anymore. You have two adorable little pups on your hands!! Have fun this weekend!

Definitely the best family costume of the night! I love that you guys dress up, too. It's way more fun that way!

um Rachel is that your real hair?? Hopefully just a wig. Once again another year of awesome family costumes. Cute idea.

Yes, yes, it's a wig! :) It's a Don King wig I found last minute at Walmart. I just sprayed it. Thanks for your nice comments everybody. Most people were amused, but I had many "I feel embarrassed for you" looks that night. Come on, live a little, people!

I LOVE IT! Rachel, you never let us down with all your creativeness and great ideas. Your family wins the costume contest for sure:) Did you make your shawl out of a blanket?

That doesn't look all that easy to throw together. I'm impressed. And I don't know if your "evil" face counts as very evil looking either!

I LOVE it!!! Where did you find your costume? I kind of thought you would go with a Curious George theme after Reese's birthday party. So cute!

You guys are so awesome when I had friends looking for costume ideas at the last minute I was directing them to look at your blog. Love the family costume theme. It makes me just a little sad that this year I finally let all the girls be whatever they wanted. Goodbye, coordination, it was fun while it lasted.

I know, it's so crazy that we were both Cruella! But your Cruella was WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better than mine. Mine was some cheap punk rock black and white wig from the thrift store. You looked awesome! And, I was so bummed I missed out on the best dalmatian costumes from Old Navy.

Jakob wanted to be someone from 101 Dalamatians, too, but I said no because no one would know who he was. But I totally knew who Tom was! Your whole family looked awesome. Well done.

What a fun family theme, Rachel. You make one hot Cruela, and Tom is not a bad side-kick either!

Great post! You need to throw in a picture of Cruella from Disneyland. It was surprising that we actually saw her there. Did you take notes on the accent? Fun times!!
