7 Years!

So much to blog about, but nothing that can't wait because today is a rather big and happy day for Tom and me. It's our 7th Wedding Anniversary! So as I mentioned a couple years ago, in honor of the 7 Year Itch, I give you the Horror Film version of our wedding video....

A little explanation: The song for this whole end sequence was awful! Poor Tom. It's the only song in our whole wedding video that he picked and only a small portion of it (the middle without the freaky heartbeat stuff) was supposed to be used earlier on in the video. It really is best to watch with my brothers' commentary, but since that isn't really an option, the overall thing they say (especially for the beginning) is that it's from the killer's perspective scanning the crowd looking for his victim. I cut it down a bit to make it shorter. (Google Reader people, sorry, but you have to click on my actual blog to see it.)

After I watched it for the first time I cried. And not happy tears. Tom called the video guy and had him fix it for us.

My family won't even watch the good version now though since they get such a kick out of the horror one. So if you want to humor me, here is the oh so much better and sweeter alternate ending...

And now to my dearest Thomas---not only thank you for not killing me following our reception (or was it that you were protecting me?), but thank you for loving me and and being my best friend for all these years. We really do make perfect sense together and I count my blessings every day that I am lucky enough to be married to such a sweet, patient, handsome, righteous, hilarious, hard-working, intelligent and amazing man! Happy Anniversary, my Love!

This is Kevin's comment about the first video - "Little did Rachel know, she was marrying the potato gun killer from Idaho." The second video is so much better. I love that Moulin Rouge song. It's too bad. I really like that song from the first one, but the video guy used the wrong part of it for a wedding video. Happy #7 to you guys!

Happy anniversary Rachel and Tom! I loved your reception - it was so pretty. I still remember your pretty cake too. Your folks have the perfect back yard for a gorgeous reception. And you were such a pretty bride. I never noticed your dress being baggy. Oh and I can totally hear your brothers commentating the first video. :)

At the beginning of the "Psycho" video I kept waiting for Michael Jackson to show up.

Has it really been 7 years?!?! Time sure does fly! You two make the cutest couple. It was so great to be with you at the temple on that special day and it has been a blast watching you grow together as a couple and now as a family of four (granted mainly that watching has been done through stalking your blog, but it still counts right?!?) Love ya both and happy anniversary!!

That really is hilarious... now, right? I too am glad Tom didn't kill you as I much prefer the happy ending. Happy 7 years!

Question though, were you okay with the sparklers? Having a fear of fireworks I was a little surprised to see those in the video.

What an improvement! It's good you spoke up about your video. I especially like the second one better since I'm in it. Ha! Thanks for the memories. We were so glad to be at your wedding, and the reception was beautiful!
