Before I post about my 4th of July weekend, I need to back way up and document something that was hugely significant in my life. I'm not sure how this got skipped over.
That's not a photoshopped picture, my dears. That is in fact a picture of me and fireworks. Together. At Disneyland. On the evening of April 20th I watched fireworks! For the first time ever! Whoever doesn't believe in the magic of Disney better recognize. Nevermind the tears in my eyes.
I don't know what came over me, but one night I was hiding in the deepest corner of the Disney shops as the firework show began, and a calm came over me and I slowly inched my way outside.
I still mostly watched them like this. But still! Do you understand how huge this was for me?!
Huge!
Did I enjoy them???
Not entirely. One step at a time, people. Yeah me!

You are so funny. Love the photos! If there was any fireworks show that might be worth overcoming lygrophobia - it would be Disney's.
LOL! Ya know I think of you EVERY TIME I see fireworks!! :) Oh and I picture you looking out the window watching them too :)
I didn't know you were afraid of fireworks! Congratulations on overcoming them (sort of). Did you see the Mickey Mouse head made of fireworks? How about the hearts and starts? Maybe next time - you'll be able to see those things:-)
Oh the magic of Disneyland! The happiest place on earth. Let's go back!
