Last night before bed, Reese was watching something on LIVE tv. It came to a commercial and she looked at Tom and me and gasped in surprised horror.
She then whined, "I wanna watch the show!" We then realized that she had NEVER seen a commercial. We tried to explain to her that the show she was watching was on right now and that there was nothing we could do about it. As you can imagine, that response was not well accepted.She's also been known to get upset when I can't magically put on any show she randomly spouts off at any given time. Such a baffling concept for her that everything is not instant. DVR is ruining our children, I tell ya! Well, it may be ruining me a little bit too. Heaven forbid we learn a little patience!
And just for your viewing pleasure, here are the other photos from our re-enactment shoot this morning. She was yelling "HUH?!" in each one of these and I couldn't stop laughing at her. Crazy girl!

Nate does the same thing. Although he understands the concept a little better, so in the next year she'll get it too. Whenever a commerial comes on Graham says "uh oh!" Like it's an accident that the show is no longer on.
My kids are pretty okay with the commercials, but they don't understand why they can't watch whatever. I've explained that in order to watch it it has to be recorded. Clayton then decided that he could record stuff. Long story short, I ended up with 4 hours of QVC recorded. I'm guessing it's not really what they wanted to watch.
Londyn throws a fit when I can't turn on the Backyardigans. Hello, we don't even have cable! I think Reese is the cutest little monkey ever.
Our kids are always asking us to rewind the radio while in the car. When are they going to add that feature, I wonder?
