1...2...3

Reese is 3!

We had her friend birthday party inbetween conference sessions last Saturday.

Reese was in charge of the guest list this year and Curious George was the theme of choice. Georgey boy is pretty much her boyfriend these days as we hear 5,000 times a day "I wanna watch George!"

Her guests were so cute and many of them dressed in their yellow (which ironically is my least favorite color....but hey it wasn't about me now was it?)

Tom was the resident chef and made sure everybody's bellies were filled with lots of homemade pizza and pasta salad,
while I was in charge of the sugar.

chocolate covered frozen bananas (shout out to our guest chef Brandon for all his help!)

and of course, the monkey cake
(which Reese exclaimed that she loved and even hugged!)

The Man with the Yellow Hat even showed up to help run the games!

Not only was Tom a good sport about it, but it was actually his idea. Can you say "good dad"? And just so you don't think that we would normally go all out with dressing up, this just happens to be his halloween costume this year.

Her friends were very generous with their gifts...lots of dress-ups and her very first Barbie!

And she was sure to show lots of appreciation.

When it came time to blow out all 3 of her candles, she was more than ready!
We actually had to re-light them because she blew them out before we could sing. :)

We have more than loved these past 3 years and are so happy to have her in our family! More to come about this big 3 year old and her actual birthDAY later...

Detail queen. The bananas on the cupcakes, the balloons tied around bananas, the books out for display. Can I come to one of your parties? Happy Birthday to Reese!! Three is a SUPER fun age. The learning curve just explodes, and they are crazy smart at this age. You'll love it.

Did you make that cake Rachel? Super cute! Reese is such a little lady! I think I want to go to a Curious George party!

Now I'm hoping that Riley loves Curious George in 6 months so I can copy all your ideas. Maybe I can steer her that way. What an adorable party, Rachel!

What a fun party! I love the George theme. And Tom really is an awesome dad for not only coming up with a fun idea, but for wearing a bright yellow costume.

And that cake is SO cute. If you tell me you made it you'll be my mommy hero.

Also, I love that a picture of Claire is in the photo montage twice. What a good mom you are to show her off.

For the love of CUTE BIRTHDAYS!! I love it. Tom is nominated for Dad Of The Year in my book. I love Reees's golden locks. She could be in commercials for the state of California. Please tell me you've already entered her in the Gap casting call. Where do I go to vote?!?

Happy Birthday Reese!!

Where do I start? You guys put together the cutest, most creative parties! I'm sure Reese loved Tom dressing up- he pulled it off really well! I love the cake- darling! Reese's face looking at her Barbie- priceless! Homemade pizza and pasta- are you kidding me? Your cute family picture- adorable! Your home decorating skills- So very cute! Okay, I'm sure you are very tired of all my comments. The end!

You guys are sweet. The party was so much fun and I was actually sad when it was over! Usually I'm relieved. As for the cake, yes I did make it, but I had much guidance on how to make and use the marshmallow fondant from my sister, Ginger. You should see her cakes! http://caron6.blogspot.com/2009/07/my-latest-passion.html They are awesome! And also, oops to homemade "pasta" it was homemade "pasta SALAD" which I think is a big difference. :)

I LOVE IT!!! I'm definitely showing those pictures to Andy! Watch out, Tom, Andy might keep them for blackmail! Seriously though, what an awesome daddy!!! I'm sure she'll remember that one for a long, long time!

Rachel, you are so stinkin' creative. Can I borrow some of that from time to time?

... Oh, and for Reese...

You've had a birthday shout, "HOORAY!" We want to sing to you today. One year older and wiser, too. Happy birthday to you!

From the Wyne family!

Happy Birthday, Reese!! Loved the party...loved the costume. :)

Love the 3 pics in the same b-day hat. Is that an interchangeable number? Or did you just buy 3 identical hats? I hope she'll still be wearing that hat when she's 20! Looks like you made a super cute party. I bet that took a lot of planning and preparation. When I planned Austin's party it consumed 95% of my brain for like 2 straight weeks. And you totally stole the kids-at-the-party picture collage idea from me, right?

Reese, Happy 3rd Birthday!!! You are so cute! You guys are quite the party throwers. Tom, I love the fact that you dressed up in a bright yellow suit--you are totally awesome. Rachel, the cake is so stinkin' cute too. What a fun day!

What an adorable party. But I have to say that our favorite part was Tom! What a good dad. Aaron thought that was classic.

What a fun party. I have to agree that Tom is a great dad. I'm trying to get Justin to dress up for Noah's party next month and I'm getting a lot of resistance.

Reese is so cute. Definitely a gorgeous birthday girl you have there!

Heidi, the hat came with numbers up to 5. Looks like I'll have to figure something else out for #6. And I don't know...maybe I did steal the picture collage idea from you. Maybe it was one of those things that you see, then it sticks in your brain then comes out subconsiously later. :)

Very cute. And, Claire is the cutest guest ever (also love that you put her pic in the collage twice). What a great Halloween costume Tom; did the party inspire it? It is fun when your kids pick the theme and you get to be creative with it. You did great!
