Reese just finished up a parent-tot gymnastics class at our rec. center. We seriously both had such a blast, and I am so proud of her for being so willing and brave. The Balance Beam
The [whatever this thing is called]
She totally climbed up onto this thing all by herself and even held herself up, and really without any instruction. I was actually quite impressed. The trampoline

Okay, so now back to what I was talking about with my original lameness...she really did grow a lot during this class. The first couple of weeks the teachers weren't even allowed to look at her, much less help her. But by the end she was letting them help her......
flip over the bar,

do back rolls

and even cartwheels (no pictures).
And where was little Miss Claire during all this might you ask...well she was practicing a few of her own tumbling moves off on the sidelines. She was so good and would just roll all around and barely make a peep.

We're so happy Reese's friend, Blyss and her mommy, told us about this class. Blyss and Reese were both so cute in their little leotards and became quite good friends during it all.
(Please don't smile girls...and you gotta love the diaper sticking out of the leotard look.)
There have been so many mornings where Reese has woken up asking if we're going to "gymnaskicks class" that I'm actually thinking about signing her up for it again this summer. These are the sort of things that make mommy-hood lots of fun.

It's amazing the growth that takes place and it's so neat to get to witness it all. I totally agree with you on the joys of motherhood. I've really loved getting to see my kids to similar things and it's really just as much fun for me as for them.
Fun! I want a gymnastics buddy. Reese is so cute and little, especially dloing things I've only seen Olympians do. Like that (horse?) thingie. Yea for little girls.
I vote you keep her in it!! She looks like a natural- I especially love the diaper sticking out of the leotard look. The only thing better is when the leotard is on backwards so the small side is on the bum:)
That's so fun that she's doing something she likes. That picture of her holding herself up is dang impressive. I think I'm pretty tough and I don't think I could do that. Way to go Reese!!!
I can't get over how beautiful Reese is. Do I say that too often? You're a fun mom. I'm a lame mom. My girls would love doing something like that, especially with me - who knows why. I should be more like you.
Way to go Reesey! Looks like you had a lot of fun.
how cute. i love when the kids actually enjoy the activities we sign them up for!! i cant' believe how big reese is getting!
There aren't many things cuter in life than little girls in leotards. And Reese looks like a natural. So cute!
I love the diaper leotard look-very cute! Reese is too cute! Claire makes the perfect little cheerleader!
Cute little lady! I love these kinds of activities too! So good for kids!
That gave me hope...Annie is super shy and I am nervous for both of us to put her in a dance class! Way to go Reese! She is adorable!
I don't know Jenny Shaw...but if she is cool I am sure we are related somewhere down the line :)
little tushies in leotards. is there anything cuter?
I am so excited for Madi to start. I hope Reese comes!
Isn't it great! I had Declan in gymnastics for a little while and it's so fun to watch them try all the "grown-up" things! She looks so cute in her leotard!
