Heavenly

I think I tasted a little piece of heaven yesterday...or at least what some of you moms experience everyday(???). Both my girls took 3 hour naps....and at the same exact time. This doesn't happen to me. I hardly knew what to do with myself. My first thought was that I better do something productive (finish painting, clean, etc.), but on second thought I decided that I was going to sit on my butt and enjoy every second of it. I blog surfed, talked to my mom on the phone, and even fit in an extra long and hot shower. There was of course no shaving of the legs. That would have been too much work on my relaxing afternoon off. I know this is not all that exciting of a story, but I just had to document this most momentous occasion. What do you moms with super good nappers even do with all this heavenly time?! I'm so very jealous!

Yay! This is my main goal for when the little one is better with her naps.

most days I sit on my butt since my toddler is crazy wild when he is awake. I work on blurb making our family albums, blog surf, take and edit photos, mess around on facebook. The baby is either asleep or hanging out with me. I love nap time.

Actually my 2 year old though he could out smart me today and quietly left his room and closed the door so it still looked like he was in his room sleeping. I found him by chance hiding on the floor between the couch and coffee table.

Enjoy for last few hours!

Yeah for good naps. They are heavenly!!

I have been fortunate that both my kids nap at the same time and have been for months. I usually get about two hours to get stuff done around the house which is really, really nice! (I know I'm lucky, but I get crabby when I don't get that time!!) I do my blog stuff, scrapbooking, Primary odds and ends, cleaning, etc. Some days are more productive than others, but I sure do love the time to myself. I hope this is the start of a wonderful thing for you too!!

Oh, how I miss those days! Ashley and Sammy don't take naps now and I sometimes wish I could rewind to those couple hours of "me" time. Those two are actually at Grandma's house right now playing and Katie is snug as a bug sleeping. Too bad I have to wake her up to get the other two touble makers. Enjoy it while it lasts. And think about the times they will be in school and you get a whole day to yourself! Ah, that would be bliss.

oh, how nice!!! It doesn't happen too often, so I'm glad you took advantage of the moment!! :)

Boy, life has changed, huh? There used to be days when 3 hours with nothing to do would've been so boring. Ok, that was probably when you were ten. Yeah, I miss the days of synchronous napping. Now I have to stick Austin in front of the computer while Ruthie is napping to get my "productive" time in (all the while feeling guilty). Sigh.

But around that 2 hour mark dont ya start wondering...should I peek in on them? Uhm...hello in there, are you ok?

Isn't that so nice? While Emily was at school Aubrey would nap and I had almost 3 hours to myself and I would relax.

Um, yeah, I'm pretty sure this is never going to happen again. Claire is just getting into her groove, but Reese...well, she hardly ever naps period. And most certainly not for 3 hours!!

Love naps. I try so hard to get my three to still take naps together. Most days I at least get an hour. Its pretty good with three.
Taking them swimming always makes my kids take good naps. Always an idea if you need another nap day.

I am so jealous I may cry a little. Good for you for taking advantage and doing things YOU like to do. When all my kids are sleeping during the day (happened once for an hour about a week ago) I eat a delicious snack, turn on a show I wouldn't be able watch with the kids awake and fall asleep watching it! Delightful.

I have to say that I am one of those lucky moms. Gavin still takes at least 2 hour naps every day. I try to get things done but sometimes I just end up on the computer... like now. I love your cute post about Claire turning 6 months. She is so adorable. Watch out teenage years.

I am glad you got some time to yourself. I hope that it happens more often for you to have a little time during the day all to yourself.

I call this a victory for moms! I love that you documented it!

Three hours?! Woo hoo! I try to have a little bit of alone time every day, and Rebecca doesn't nap, so I make her have "Quiet Time" in her room while her brothers nap. She picks something to play with, and takes it in her room for an hour or so. It gives me a nice little break so that I don't make myself crazy. You should try it with Reese.
