Half Birthday Fun

Turning 6 months old is a pretty exciting time around here!

"Wow, thanks guys. This is really great. I mean, I know I'm 6 months, but a cupcake...you shouldn't have."

"Hey, hey, what are you doin' there big guy?"

"Lay 0ff me, I'm starving!!!"

What did we expect when we gave our 6 month old a cupcake? We were hoping she'd just play with it like Reese did when she was 6 months old. Not so much. She went straight for the jugular and showed no mercy so we had to intervene a bit. Oh well, what 6 month old doesn't need a little sugar in her system? ;)

Besides eating cupcakes, here are a few other things Claire is up to:

• rolling ALL over the place
• sleeping 11-12 hours straight at night
• finally taking good solid naps with no swaddling
• freaking out if I even dare turn the corner into another room
• hyperventilating and squeeling when she sees me walk into a room (I know these last 2 are very common for this age, but Reese was nowhere near being such a momma's girl.)

• loving her exersaucer/jumper
• chowing down on solid foods----her current favorites are peaches and carrots

• very likely headed in the direction of becoming a blondie. So far her hair is lightening at the same rate Reese's did (we always forget that Reese started out so dark).
• in love with her older sister. I swear these two have a special connection. One of my favorite moments of the day is when they see each other for the first time in the morning. They both just beam!

"Claire-Bear Noelle" (Reese's name for her) is such a sweet-heart and we are blessed to have her in our family. We can't wait to see how she grows and develops during these next 6 months and also to see what she can do with a whole cake when she turns 1!
