P.S.

We just had a follow up doctor's appointment and Claire is doing great! My girls have been very lucky and have seemed to get very mild cases of RSV. I don't know if RSV is more prevalent in colder climates or what because I hadn't really heard too much about it until I moved here. And since then I have heard some very scary stories about how bad it can actually get. I have to admit that I was a lot more nervous this time around with Claire being only 8 weeks old. The doctor seemed to be too. From what I've heard and read, a lot of babies at this age are hospitalized and it can actually be life threatening. My visiting teacher was just telling me that when her daughter had it at only 6 weeks old she had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance from the pediatrician's office. Such a scary little virus with some very scary possibilities.

But anyway, our pediatrician told us that he was "happily surprised" at how well her little body was dealing with it and that he thinks she's already at the worst of it. So we are feeling very blessed, but are going to continue to be shut-ins for a while because of how contagious it is. Thanks for your sweet words in my last post wishing her to get better soon.

I do have to tell one funny thing that happened right before we left the doctor's office. The doctor held Claire, looked her in the eyes and said, "When you're 14 and asking your mom to go out on dates with guys with moustaches, she's going to tell you 'no' because you scared her by getting such a yucky virus at only 8 weeks old." Don't worry, I quickly corrected him about her not dating until she was 16 anyway. There was, however, absolutely no correction about not dating "guys with moustaches". Ew!

P.P.S. I'm absolutely positive I offended somebody by saying that. Sorry, I'm just sayin'.

So if I grew a moustache would you not be my friend anymore?

I am so glad she is doing better. RSV is scary. Also not a fan of moustaches. Mark has had one before. I had to threaten him to get him to shave it. :)

So glad she is feeling better...RSV is the reason that we don't bring our kids anywhere or let them be around people or kids...(with a few exceptions of course)...in a way it's nice to know that there are kids out there getting RSV so it makes me feel less paranoid...sorry it's your kids though :)

You are too funny!!! But I am so glad that the RSV is at its worst...that means she is on the road to being totally healthy again, huh!!! And who likes guys with mustaches anyway... :)

My husband constantly begs me to let him grow a mustache. I tell him fine, so long as you don't want me to ever kiss you again. Crisis averted for now.

I'm glad to hear that she is almost over the worst of it. One the other hand...shes a beauty!!! I just love her pictures and that hat is so cute on her!

Such adorable pictures! I am so glad your house is on the mend. Some day when sickness is not visiting either of us we will let our little girls play once again.
