She's still inside. I am loving how quickly everybody is answering their phones and returning my calls though. Tom wants to start prank calling our moms in the middle of the night. Don't worry moms, I'm his voice of reason...ha. And the looks on people's faces yesterday at church were quite amusing. They were all looks of "You're still here? Poor girl."
But today is the actual big due date! I'm not quite sure she wants it to be her actual birthday though. She has been quite the little trickster these past 48 hours. Hopefully this won't be indicative of her personality. I would say that my contractions have surpassed the pain level of being just simple braxton hicks, but they are still so inconsistent. Since noon yesterday I was contracting every 20 minutes and those gradually crept down to every 10-12 minutes all throughout the night. But now they're back up to a little closer to every 20 minutes or even more. Who knows! Maybe she really doesn't want to come until Friday when I'm scheduled to be induced.

To tell the truth, Tom and I have been very happy that she hasn't come yet. We have been so scattered and crazy with getting projects and things done around the house that we truly would have been in a panic had she come by now. Every day we've told her, "Not today baby." But we are FINALLY at a point where we are ready to welcome her! Our bags are even finally packed. So come baby come!

Well there is one main thing that we still don't have in order...HER NAME. What's wrong with us? I really think this little girl will remain nameless for about a week after she's born. We just can't decide. We have about 4-5 that we keep floating around, and they're all completely different styles. One is kind of old ladyish, one is biblical, one's a more modern version of an older family name, and another is a little more spunky/trendy that our parents probably won't like (which is the one I'm leaning towards). We just can't completely agree. Yikes.
Okay, so this update was meant to be super short, but I'm just getting so wordy on my blog these days. Half of you probably don't even read what I write anymore. Anywho, I'll keep those of you who are actually interested posted about any new happenings!

Keep us posted. I check every day to see if you have updated. Hopefully she will come by Friday.
When I was 1 week overdue with Tyler, I just stopped answering the phone all together. I couldn't handle having to tell one more person I was still pregnant!! Good luck with everything!
Are you still taking name suggestions then? My sister-in-law just named her baby Evie (like the letters E.V.) and I thought it was adorable. Good luck. Hope she comes today!
Good luck Rachel! Hopefully she comes soon.
S-I-L just used her M-I-L's name for the middle name. Not cute, just sentimental. I don't love thinking of baby names myself... hardest thing about being pregnant for me :) Oh wow, just kidding.
Good luck! I hope she comes soon! It sucks being overdue. Stinkin' stubborn babies! Good luck with a name. Noah was nameless for a while and I have a feeling our little girl isn't going to be much different. Names are SO hard!!! I can't wait to see pictures of her though!
I can't wait to see your adorable little "nameless" baby Bjorkman! I was so excited when i saw your name at the top of my blog list because I was hoping it was the big "here's our baby post"... so add me to the list of people wondering when your cute little one will arrive :-). Good luck with labor and all that! I love ya!
I'm still interested and I say go ahead, name the kid Bathsheba (that's the Biblical name, right?)
Hang in there. I can handle the phone calls for you if you want!! Haha.
Hey Rachel I am getting addicted this bloggin thing and its actually becoming pretty fun. My buddies laugh at me because I always want to take pictures with my camera phone but oh well. I say you lean toward the spunky name if it is the one I am thinking you said. Dont worry I haven't told anyone!!! I say do what you want and dont worry about what everyone is saying......love ya Rachel
Dean's mom thought it was sooooo cool that if you left the hospital before settling on a name, they would put "baby (last name)" on the birth certificate. So even though she knew her kids names she kept them a secret just for the novelty of it all. Boo! It was a major pain in the butt when we were trying to get him a passport 27 years later!
You might be sick of hearing this, but I cant beleive it's time for her to make her debut yet!! I cant wait to hear what her name will be.
Hang in there!! Can't wait to hear what you name her! Good luck!!
Considering that you are due today--I think you look great! Good luck with everything and if you are induced, I hope all goes well.
But hey - it's better to go to the hospital with 5 names than none. Hopefully you will meet her and one of the five will just feel right. I'll be stalking your blog this week . . .
Ah...I feel ya girl...remember when I was there...not too long ago :) I know that you guys can't wait...but I can't either!!! I will also be stalking your blog!!!
Hang in there girl! When I was prego with Katlyn we didn't even have her name narrowed down till we were in the hospital, and I was overdue with her. My sister was in town from Texas and had been there since the beginning of summer. She kept debating if she should stay till I had the baby. Even her hubby who had been away from her said she should stay. We finally made a deal that if I went into labor before she crossed Utah state lines she would turn around. I didn't think she was coming any time soon and I didn't even realize it was my water that broke (when it finally did). My sister had just left Utah when I went to the hospital... When my mom had me her contractions were 20 minutes apart! Oh yeah, and I was 10 days late! It's a wonder my mom still likes me! :) I hope all goes well! Love you and can't wait to see pics and find out that sweet little baby's name!!!
Good luck with everything Rachel. I hope you have a great labor and delivery (or as great as it can be!!) I know very well how frusterating it can be to go past your due date. It seemed like both of my kids needed their eviction notices (i.e. induction dates) before they decided to make their grand debut into this world. I can't wait to see pictures of "she who shall remain nameless"!!
Good luck! Rachel! I cant wait to meet her!!!
I can't wait to see baby pictures! I hope she comes soon! Good luck!
I had to laugh when you said that everyone returned your calls very quickly. I had so many false alarms that no one ever said hello to me- all they wanted to know was if I was going to the hospital!
I can't wait to find out what you named her! Good luck:) I am so excited for you!!
Good luck Rachel - hope she comes soon!
Yeah! Relief is in sight. Good-luck with everything. Wish we were there to offer to watch Reese.
We will be anxious to see pictures. I hear trampolines do wonders...
Congrats in advance!
I went out of town for almost a week, and I was hoping to come home to some baby news, but I can wait a few more days, I guess. I can't wait to hear her name. And I love that Tom wants to prank call your moms in the middle of the night. I think that would be hilarious.
I know Rachel & Tom will be posting something soon, but I wanted to let all her friends know that she had her baby Tuesday early morning the 2nd. Just one day after her post....pretty funny. Baby girl (no name as of yet) was 6 lbs 7 oz and perfect and Rachel is wonderful.....especially now that she can sleep and move around better :).
Congrats Rachel, Tom & Reesie!!
