"Oh boy! How'd I get stuck with these crazies?!"Finally! It only took us five days to officially decide on her name. :) It was kind of weird just calling her "Baby" for so long so it feels good to have something set. I do have to say that the birth certificate lady at the hospital certainly didn't help make the process any quicker by letting us know that we actually had 10 days to decide instead of 24 hours like we were originally told. We had about 2 other names that we flip-flopped back and forth between, but we always ended up coming back to this one and decided it was the only one we didn't just like, but actually loved.
I also have to say THANK YOU for all the wonderful comments welcoming our new little one! We feel very loved and blessed to have such sweet people in our lives!
I'll write the birth story later; one thing at a time for me right now. But here's a video of Reese meeting her sister for the first time and some of our first family pictures. And apparently Claire is quite the comedian because since she was born Reese has been telling us non-stop how funny she is.

Ahhhh, that is such a sweet little video. I love hearing Reese's voice say how funny her baby sister is! And yeah Rachel, I'm totally jealous of you now. First, you have small babies (lucky duck) and second, you look absolutely amazing in those hospital pictures. I wish I could have looked half as good. (I guess I'll just have to blame it all on my whopper 9 pound children!!)

You guys are sweet, but I should clarify that these pictures are post shower. I didn't have my make-up on during actual labor. If you're lucky (or unlucky) maybe I'll post the freaky "I just pushed a human out of my body 2 minutes ago" photos later.
I love it - it's absolutely perfect. I love Reese's "funny baby." And you look freaking amazing - only you can make that gown look good. I feel like we're officially family twins now with our two little girls. Which is only fitting for the girls who always end up buying twin clothes. I wish we were headed south so we could meet her at Christmas. If you end up in SLC on a layover or something then give me a call.
I like the name, very simple and cute. What were the other names you were considering? Claire isn't a name I think people would object to so I'm curious to hear the other names. I look forward to see many more pictures of your cute family and your funny baby.

She's gorgeous and I LOVE the name! Justin and I were thinking about Claire for our little girl, but we recently took it off the list because we had others that we liked better - but I love the name! So classy and beautiful! You look really good too!

Isn't that moment priceless when sibling meets sibling for the first time? I love it! There's nothing so sweet as watching your little ones interact with one another (well, unless they're fighting, that is). I'm glad you made peace with the name thing and chose what you love. You'll just have to figure out what to do with the top of your blog now!!
