The Tale of the (Not So) Naughty Chair

Once upon a time there was a very Naughty Chair.

But there was an even naughtier little girl.

"Who me? "

Yes Reese, this story is about you! Little turkey!

I just barely bought this little chair at a thrift store and was planning on painting it and turning into a time-out spot for Reese. Unfortunately she absolutely loves the chair and likes to climb all over it and carry it all over the house! So apparently I need to come up with another plan that won't encourage her to act up so she can receive the "punishment."

The End (for now)....

Is that David Hasselhoff on the TV screen? That would be punishment enough for me...don't tell me she has grown to love the Hoff?

Hey don't hassel the Hoff! In any case, a couple shackles could turn that it into a naughty chair pretty quickly.

That's exactly what I was going to say..."Don't hassel the hoff" Eric! Have you heard him say that? Oh, that David! Sorry to disappoint, but no it's not Hasselhoff. We were watching Ellen and she carried her chair over so she could watch that nerdy guy sing who just got cut from American Idol.

And the shackles are a nice idea. I told Ginger that we were thinking of adding spikes, but shackles sounds slightly more humane.

What I can't believe is that you were considering painting it. When we moved into the place where we live now, one of the bedrooms was painted that color yellow- ceiling included. That is still how our bathroom looks. :)

That is too funny! Of course she would fall in love with a cute little yellow chair that is just her size!?! I think that's too cute. I love the pictures of her carrying it like she a big girl. She's so darling smiling with her sippy on the chair. She probably thinks she's such a lucky girl to have her mom get her such a cute chair. So funny!

That chair is way too cute to be a naughty chair!

Maybe she wouldn't like it if she had to sit in the corner facing the wall...but who knows. Don't know where in Colorado the ranch would be, my guess is not a big city! Oh, and the whole singles ward change really bums me out. Don't know how I'm gonna make any friends when I can't go to church with my peers. Aw well! Maybe I will feel better if I find a bright yellow chair...

She is so cute! (I know I say that in almost every comment...but she is!)

Our timeout chair is a TALL barstool, in a living room with no furniture, backed into an empty bookshelf cutout. The boys used to be scared to even try to get down. Close to shackles, but not quite.

Those pictures sure are adorable. I know if Katie were to have a naughty chair she would probably do the same; kids love little chairs that are just their size. Maybe try taking away the chair when she is naughty. Until then, enjoy your naughty- I mean precious- little girl.

This sounds like something James would do. He is always pushing chairs of all sizes around the house to get to wear he wants to be.

That is a really cute chair too. I never find that kind of stuff at thrift stores!!!

Hey Rachel, which thrift store did you find that at?? I am looking for a store like that. I need to purchase a few CHEAP items!

Now I'm really torn. Hard to decide between the red and the yellow chair. Maybe one of each? Anyway, very, very cute.
