Every other Friday Tom drops little Reesey off at our friend Hollie's house for half a day while I'm at work. She always looks like a little orphan child because Tom has to wake her up and take her just like that on his way to work. (I've tried to teach him how to put hair clips in, but he's a true boy and just can't get the hang of it.) So yesterday afternoon when I went to pick her up I see this little girl pressed up against the window looking right at me. It honestly took me several seconds to realize it was Reese. I just started cracking up because I couldn't believe it was her and also how cute she looked. Being the cute little photographer that she is, Hollie found a little dress she had in her basement and curled Reese's hair and took some adorable pictures. She tried telling me that that's just how Tom brought Reese over that morning. Ha!
It's starting to get more fun now that her hair is getting longer. I round-brushed it for the first time last Sunday, and now I'm thinking this little curling route will be fun to do every once in a while too. In case you can't tell...I LOVE having a girl!

It is a lot of fun having a girl but just wait until they start getting a mind of their own! Alia insists on pig tails almost everyday. And clothes. . .just make sure that all of her clothes match all of her shoes. She wears black sparkley shoes everyday no matter what! I have to hide them to get her to wear other shoes.
I think I'll just have to live vicariously through you to get the whole girl thing out of my system. She is ADORABLE!
What a beautiful picture. Michael is the same way... if I am not going to church poor Kessa usually just goes and puts a headband in. If it wasn't for that she would still have wet hair from the shower!!
OH my gosh how cute!!! This picture is so so cute. She looks like a little princess. How cute!!!
It seriously took me a second to remember who's blog I had come to...Reese's picture uploaded before the rest of the blog did and I had to look twice before also realizing it was darling Reese. She looks so beautiful! What a cutie. Aren't little girls so much fun??? It only gets better, in my mind!
Wow! I didn't recognize Reese at first either! She looks so old, especially her hair is getting so long. What a cute picture!
I was thinking "adorable" and "little princess", and then I read other people's comments and noticed how unoriginal I was! But it still applies! Do you have any more pics?
what a fun surprise!
Oh my goodness, what a cutie. Of course she always looks so adorable but I just loved that picture. We have started to curl Abby's hair on Sundays (did I say "we", you probably know that I really mean "I".) And I totally understand when you say that you love, love, love having a little girl. Jason has often made the comment that Abby is like my little doll, and its probably true. I love to dress her, do her hair, put make-up on her (okay, maybe not the last one, but you get the idea.) I think that will be the thing I will miss most about having a boy. Of course I love sports too and I'm sure there will be lots of other fun things to love!! But man, I do love my little girlie-girl!!
I love her big beautiful eyes in that soft picture.
I love coming home after a work day to see such sweet comments from all my friends. It's the same excitement that I used to get freshman year at BYU when I'd get back to my dorm and see the red light blinking on the phone meaning there was a message. Am I the only one with this?
I was talking on the phone with my sister after I first posted this and she said when she first opened it she thought, "Why is there some random girl on her blog?" Funny how much hair can change the look of a person.
Marissa, there are a few other pictures but Reese wasn't in the best mood so I just posted my favorite. Hollie somehow manages to still do a great job even when the little people aren't cooperating.
Oh my HECK she is cute!!! I'm so jealous of the hair - Londyn's is still so thin and whispy. And your friend (I've said this before) is a really good photographer.
So not to offend the others, but I think that out of all of my friends from college, you win the cutest baby contest. (Either that of you have the best photographer.)
She is really adorable! And you do have a great photographer!
I think it was really good for me to have a boy first. I rarely get the time to put any type of product in Ty's hair and so he walks around looking like an orphan half the time. I will have to try harder to make Avery look presentable!! She is such a doll. I love seeing little pics of her. I hope to meet her in person sometime soon!!
p.s. we are going to see the whitesides on Sunday. They are going to San Antonio and staying with the Hicks so we are going to have dinner with them. Should be interesting to say the least!
Wow. Hold onto that babysitter! Reese is so photogenic!
Thanks for your message. It is so fun to see how Reese is growing and how the two of you are.
I also was able to make contact with other friends from your blog list. It's always nice to keep up with how everyone is doing.
I miss teaching RS. Thanks for your compliments. It was a wonderful calling. I learned so much from that short time as the teacher. We are now the Activities Chair People. We plan the parties! It has been fun so far. I am also on a Time Out for Women with Deseret Book team out here. We cordinate the decor, meet and greet, etc. Our event is the end of the month and almost sold out. It will be fun and nice to have finished.
Hope you are happy and well. We miss the ward. Tell everyone hello. Have a great weekend!
Love, Bethany
Wow, I thought some of the previous posts were really cute, but this one takes the cake. Very, very cute. Really adorable. Great photos.
