This weekend we actually had visitors! Of course they were just passing through, but hey, we'll take it! Friday night my old college roommate Dadra and her family stayed with us on the way to her parents'.
Dadra and I were put together randomly as roommates our freshman year back in 1998. We got along so well that we lived with each other every year after that with the exception of the time she was on her mission. Random funny memory: Before you move in freshman year, BYU sends you a list of the names of your rommates. When one of our other freshman roommates saw the list and saw Dadra's name she got really excited and thought, "Cool, I have a black roommate."

Jason, Abby, & DadraHer cute little family
Abby is the cutest little thing and she LOVES to give hugs. When I came down in the morning she ran straight to me for a hug. Sorry about all the baby talk in all the videos. I don't realize how bad it is until I see it.
Having her here got me all nostalgic about the good old days in Sparks II apts. (my heaven... just ask Tom). Bottom Picture: Spring/Summer Semester--One night our guy friends were all out on dates so we decided to decorate their apartment. We made balloon people and put them in make out position with music playing and a strobe light going. We put a sign on their door that read, "Welcome to the Love Shack." I wish I had video of it because it looked so dang funny with the strobe light going and love music playing.

We were just slightly dramatic.

Here we are reinacting the death scene of Eponine in Marius' arms in the play Les Miserables.
This is my all time favorite picture of us. This is Javert's suicide (Les Mis again) when he jumps off the bridge. We used the couch as our bridge. I hope Dadra's not too embarrassed that I'm showing these pictures. I know Tom is. And that, my friends, is about as wild (and dorky) as I got in college. :)
We also had Tom's little brother Jeff and a couple of his friends drive through on their way to Texas. Tom was thrilled to see him and even more thrilled to have somebody to play ping pong with. His mean wife will rarely play with him.
Reese, Jeff, & Tom
Sunday after churchLastly is our annoying, uninvited visitor. Lately, everytime we go outside our neighbor's cat comes up and wants to be pet. Reese pulls out huge clumps of fur every time he/she comes near, but he/she still won't leave us alone.

Ha ha, love it! Love the nostalgic pics. I wasn't there for the make out people prank, but pulling pranks was lots of fun! Say hi to Dadra for me.
I miss Dadra too. I'm glad you got to visit with her. I hope you convinced her to start a blog. That was a fun walk down memory lane. Were those from Sparks 22? How did I miss out on all that fun? Guess I was even less "wild" than you guys.
Marissa, remember the spring/summer (?) of the pranks with the Hansen Boys poster and the upside down cups filled with water?
Heidi, I think it was the summer we moved into 22 so you weren't there until the fall. Isn't it funny what's "wild" at BYU? Oh, I did find some pictures of apt. 3 with "REMEBER March is Mo Miggidy Madness Month." Oh, good times!
I love having visitors! Looks like it was a great time.
I love those old pictures of you! I definitely should've been your roommate. I had no idea other people reenacted Les Miserables!
Yeah, I remember those pranks. I also remember that the response to those pranks was a free dinner! And I remember that Alan told me that I was really special to him. Ha ha ha! But no, I wasn't there for the grand finale prank of the balloon people.
