I finally decided to toughen up and let Reese cry herself to sleep last night. I started reading that book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" (which I should have started forever ago) and it gave me new motivation to teach her to fall asleep by herself. I tried it a couple of months ago and after about an hour I was crying too and I had to go get her. She hasn't necessarily been a bad sleeper, but I know she can be better. I was just worried that if I didn't toughen up now that this might start a pattern of me being a softy when she's older too. So anyway, I'm proud of myself!
Well, I'm basically obsessed with my baby and I love to hear her laugh, so you get to too. The giggling word of the day was apparently "Boosha."

I love baby laughs! I'll have to try "Boosha" with Austin and see how it goes. I love that Reese is a camera aware baby too. How do they know?
That's so cool you can put a video on your blog. I loved watching it. Reese is a doll! I can tell you're having a lot of fun with her. You'll have to let me know how to upload the video files.
I LOVE the Healthy Sleep Habits book. I wish I would've used it more with my first baby. I have found that their sleep habits the first year completely set the pattern of sleep for years after. We had Luke cry it out pretty early his first year, but since then he's been the best sleeper! It is so hard to let them cry, but so worth it. And it only gets more difficult if you're not consistent, so stay tough!
Very darling video! It makes me excited for that stage again! And good work with the sleeping thing. It's one of the toughest things I have done with Tyson - but one of the most rewarding as he started sleeping through the night. I think it's harder on the parent than it is on the child!!
