My Dearest Blog,

You may have heard the rumor that I've been cheating on you with Instagram and Facebook. And while this is partially true and I do admit to struggling to find as much time to sit down and be with you lately, I promise I am not deserting you. You still have too much to offer that the others, in my opinion, do not...and never will. You are my first true love, and I promise to be faithful and get back to live-laugh-loving with you in the very near future.

Love,
Rachel B

So glad you're still blogging! I wish more people kept it up, but I know life gets busy. I use it more for our family journal than anything else and am finally almost caught up. Love you and your cute little family!

Amen!!!! Those other two are easier in so many ways. But nothing can replace blogging. I'm SO grateful you're still in the blogosphere!

I've heard you can actually save your Instagram posts for a book like you can for a blog. I'm afraid more of my blogging friends have switched to Instagram because of that. To be honest, I'm actually happy that less people are blogging - and for totally selfish reasons. I'm more open and honest about things now that I don't have a big audience (not that I ever did). I'm a lot more comfortable writing things on my blog knowing that only a handful of people are reading it.

That is a really good point, Emily. I think I've always been pretty open, but I definitely could worry less about what people think and just post more often without thinking it has to be the perfect post....easier with a smaller audience. I decided yesterday that instagram is just medium fun for me. Everybody told me I would love it, but I've realized that it doesn't even come close to giving me the satisfaction that blogging does. I'll definitely have to look into the book thing though.

I'd say it's hard to compare them with each other--seems like they all have a slightly different purpose. So that being said, keep blogging away!! Journal, journal, journal! You're doing a great job of it. :)
