If you've never watched this, you totally should (at least the first minute)! It is so my favorite and makes me laugh every time!
I'm not gonna lie...these past few weeks have been a tad overwhelming for me and I have felt like I've been in complete drowning mode. Nothing too huge on its own, just A LOT of things all at once causing me to cry and basically lose my mind. Now all I need is for someone to hand me that baby!
I'm not one who thrives off being busy. Sure, I love having a project going on. But I also occasionally like to just sit on my couch in the afternoons eating cookies while staring at the wall. I haven't been handling life's busy-ness and nothing-falling-into-place-ness very well. And really, I'm quite sad/resentful that I haven't had time to just focus on baby. She is coming next week, people. Next week! We're celebrating our last baby-less week with a bang with the entire family taking turns puking. Just how I envisioned it!
Every night at dinner, we do Happys & Sads (idea from this awesome lady's blog). So since I'm feeling like a Negative Nancy focusing on my sads lately, I'd like to end this post with some happys:
- Everybody is puking now, so it will be out of our systems before baby comes! (Cute little Reese at about 4 am last night, after throwing up for like her 8th time, suddenly said, "Mom, I think I might be sick." Ya think?! :)
- Everybody's throw-up is making it at the very least into bowls or onto kitchen floors..no carpets!
- We switched Everett to a big-boy bed and he is overall doing quite well. He's taking longer to fall asleep at night/stay in bed, but he's also not getting up until 6:30 or 7. That is extremely good for our used-to-be-5:30am boy.
- We thankfully avoided a lice scare from a sweet, little unknowing friend who was over playing for several hours a couple weeks ago (sharing head-bands and all).
- I have a computer!!! We never could get ours up and running again, but the timing worked out perfect with my mom being in the middle of upgrading to a new laptop. She shipped us her "old" one and it's been wonderful! Tom's smartphone just wasn't cutting it. I don't know how you all do so much from your phones. We're still figuring out how to transfer all our old pictures so I can still hopefully catch up on all my blogging some day.
- My body is physically holding up fabulously this pregnancy. I will swear up and down that it is because of exercise. I am still exercising just the same and it feels so good! I've exercised during pregnancy before, but not this vigorously (I'm not sure that's the word I'm looking for.) Other than this little lady constantly ramming her head into my bladder (I swear I'm carrying her lower than I did my other babies) I don't have ANY of my regular aches and pains. And I have actually kept some of my muscle definition in my arms and legs. I truly think Heavenly Father knew I needed to feel good physically in order to keep up with Everett.

Ha ha. That video is hilarious. I had never seen it before, but with 4 kids, I can relate. I completely agree on the exercise while pregnant. I was active with all 4 of my pregnancies and had great pregnancies, deliveries, and fast recoveries with all 4. I fully believe it was due to continuing to exercise throughout. I'm glad you're feeling so good, and wish you the best of luck with the arrival of your daughter soon.
That was awesome. I love Jim Gaffigan. What a perfect bit for you right now. That makes me think of a funny Studio C skit. Enjoy another good baby-related laugh. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc7EMYIG0_Y
Woo hoo! I'm excited to see pictures! And way to be positive, Rachel. I'm sorry that everyone is sick right before the baby comes.
Yay! Another adorable Bjorkman babe is soon to make her appearance in this world! Looking forward to seeing her sweet face. :) Not as much as you, of course. And yes, get the germs out of your system now. And yes, your computer is working so we can see pics when it happens!
I LOVE reading your blog!! Seriously! I'm SO happy you're still blogging. And sorry about the puking! I CANNOT believe your newest little lady is coming so soon! I can't wait to see pictures of her and hear about the birth. Best of luck to you my sweet friend!
I love that video!! He is too funny. And next week...woohoo!! That is so exciting. It's amazing how fast pregnancy flies when it happens to someone else. So sorry about all the puking, but at least it will get out of your home before little baby girl arrives. I am so happy to hear what a great pregnancy you have enjoyed. Exercise is what keeps me sane during pregnancy and sure seems to help me have an easier time with things too. Good luck next week girlie!!!
LOL - I saw that clip shortly after Oakley was born and it hit a little too close to home! I was laughing and crying at the same time. I made Will watch it with me. I found myself nodding along reading this entire post. Well, except the feeling physically good part. :) That's awesome that you do though. I'm sure it will make a difference with delivery, and probably a huge difference with recovery as well. You're my hero. :) Sending you good labor thoughts. ;)
oh I love you lady! I feel your pain but you are a great mom and nothing will charge that!
Jim Gaffigan is the best! Hilarious. The last few weeks of pregnancy are the WORST! Hang in there (like you have a choice). I can't wait to see your new little one!
My favorite Jim Gaffigan routine. See you Monday. :) :) :)
Oh my gosh! That video is hilarious! I laughed so hard I was crying and even struggled to breathe for a few seconds :) I can't believe the time is already here. That flew by fast. I'm glad that you were able to work out with this pregnancy. I wouldn't know what that is like, but I hear good things. So I think I will get off my lazy pregnant bum (next time around) and exercise! And I'm glad you are still blogging! I sure enjoy reading about the Bjorkmans.
I am teary-eyed, catching up on your blog. I love and miss you and I am praying for you and that sweet baby girl. You are such a kind, gentle mom, so much more so than you know. Your countenance always radiated something that I wished I had more of. So excited for you!
That letter was so sweet. She will one day enjoy reading that. Thank you for sharing that funny video. My husband loved it too. He laughter out loud and that is hard to do. I know exactly how you are feeling. Its hard to add yet another child when you already feel overwhelmed. In our case those small babies bring a joy and warmth to the home that nothing else can bring. It brings everyone all together. Best of luck. We will be rooting for you and your sweet family.
