I decided to stencil the wall in our office.
Or an Everett...
Nope, pretty sure they didn't have such fantastic helpers. Naptime was my only real time to work on it, and by the time night time rolled around (kids' bedtime), stenciling wasn't too high on my list of fun things to do. (Plus, daytime light made it easier.) But after 3+ months of very sporadic work, I am so happy to say that I AM DONE!!! And I love it!

Ever since we got our laptop, we haven't really been using this room. So one day I sprung my grand idea to Tom of turning it into my craft room. He was medium on that idea as he still wanted it as an office to work on things too. So we compromised on "The Multi-Purpose Room". :) I have a big table/desk on the opposite side for my projects, then we'll add a desk for Tom along the stenciled wall side. There probably won't be a big reveal when the room is complete because 1) at the rate I go, it probably won't be done for another two years, and 2) the most exciting thing in the room is sure to be the wall, which you've now already seen.
Now the girls are begging me to repaint their room--which I'm actually really excited about....just no stenciling. I should probably at some point focus on my super sad, never-been-decorated bedroom, but that's just not as fun. Never a dull project moment around here!

Love it! I have zero stick-to-itivness when it comes to projects. So I admire people who can finish a room!
I love that wall!! It looks great and I'm sure everytime you pass it now it brings a smile to your face. Nice job girl!
Oh. My. Gosh. It's FANTASTIC!! Please oh please oh please come decorate my house. I'll beg if I must.
You're crazy! I could never finish a project like that. I'm super impressed. I love the look of that. Want to come to my house and do some painting? I'll keep kids out of your lap (though no promises that I won't let them "help" you)! It looks amazing. Well done!
ThaT IS AWESOME!!! I love it! totally worth three months of naptime!:)
I love how it turned out. Great job!
That looks awesome! I can't believe how patient you were to stick with that project and actually finish--impressive! Way to go!
Two years before you finish? No good. Tomorrow is much better for my schedule :o). It looks awesome. I'm impressed that you even painted the little half-stencils at the very bottom of the wall. You are thorough.
It looks amazing!! :)
It looks AMAZING!!! You must have had the patience of job to do it!! I just sat down to blog about my "multi-purpose" room that I just finished. We must be on the same page in wanting our own room :). Where did you get that stencil??? My next project is painting curtains for my eating area and I wanted that damask shape. I'd seen a tutorial on pinterest where you made your own stencil and I've been feeling overwhelmed about how that would work out. The stencil you used would be perfect. One more reason you should live next door :)
*Job....as in the scriptures :)
Rachel that is amazing! I love it! The color and the stencil! I am impressed! We just moved into a house by Landmark and it is the same floor plan as yours and I claimed that same room for my sewing/craft room. Great job and I am so excited for the movie this week!
I love it too. Great job. It looks perfect. Wish i had an extra room for projects. Oh wait enough rooms to fit all my kids would be good too.
I don't think I have ever seen a room so cool! Your amazing Rachel. Next time you have nothing to do, can you come over to my house??!
I love it, Rachel. I wish I had the motivation to stencil a wall because I love the way it looks. But I don't. That's funny you don't use your office anymore. We have the same type of room in our house, and since I got my smart phone, we never use our room either. At least we have a piano in there, so I guess it is still the piano room. I like your compromise for your craft room.
Holy moly, girl! You are crrr-azy! Actually, you are crazy amazing. It looks fabulous and I am always impressed with how much you manage to pull off with your little kids in tow. Great job, Rachel.
