So a "Wild Kratt" party was a no-brainer when it came time for her 5th birthday. Other than the vests, I didn't follow the show all that closely. It probably turned out to be more of just an animal theme, but hey, Reese had a blast, and that equals success in my book!
The Gang all geared up in their Creature Power Suits! (Yes, I made those vests. My hot glue gun and I are quite awesome. Ha!)
Reese came up with some of the games...
Kangaroo Tag
Candy-Filled Balloon Pop
There were also fun presents....
and pizza....
The cake was a far a cry from Reese's original "Peregrine Falcon" request (seriously). Only Aunt Ginger would have been able to pull that one off. I just used those Duff Goldman edible papers. The colors were fun, but it was actually pretty sloppy in person. Luckily 5 year olds don't care about those details.
And look, Dad! Mom's '90's Beanie Baby craze came through for us all in the end! Could there have been more perfect Wild Kratt party favors?! Momoo very willingly shipped a huge surprise box to us once she heard what the party theme was. See, it was all worth it!

Reese is so cute! 5 looks good on her. And, the cake looks great. I'll have to look up those papers. Happy (belayed) birthday Reese!
Such a fun party for a fun girl. Rachel, you are the party planning queen. I guess we need to check this show out!
That party looks awesome! I'm impressed with your hot glue skills!
Fun party. If Austin had turned 6 about 5 months ago I think he would've had that same theme. I'm still waiting for some new Wild Kratts episodes. Those vests are awesome. Did that take like 30 hours? I hope Reese appreciates all your hard work! ... Ok, I just realized that was Reese's 5 year party. And you're only 2 months away from her 6 year party. Good think you're catching up now :o)!
