We were in Vegas this year so we celebrated with my whole side of the family. Tom was beyond
Tom isn't me so he doesn't so much love lots of birthday attention. But I figured having everybody over to enjoy his favorite food was pretty harmless. And I practiced much self restraint by not busting out my homemade hamburger birthday banner. (Please know that I'm kidding.)
A few weeks before his birthday, Tom and I were watching something on the food network about different restaurants that make and sell ginormous hamburgers. Like as in crazy, disgusting big! Tom was drooling the whole time so I thought it would be fun to attempt to make one of our very own. It was nowhere near as big as those restaurants', but it was most definitely the biggest one Tom had ever laid eyes or his mouth on in person.

He did pretty well and finished about half of it. I was impressed.
And I also have to say that my family came to the rescue and helped out majorly. I was wanting to make his birthday special, but my pregnant body was not cooperating. I was feeling completely awful all day so my mom went out to purchase all the food, my family all helped make it, and my sister Ginger came to the rescue with making his cake.
We originally had grand ideas of re-creating her fondant one she had made a while back,
but in the end I didn't have the time or energy. Ginger's awesome.
And so is my husband. We love you Tom Bjorkman!
