A SunBEAM!

My little Reesers is a Sunbeam! I couldn't help but peek in on her about 5 different times today. Not because I was nervous about how she would do, but just because I thought it was so darn cute! She did great!
On the drive home I asked her if she learned about Jesus, to which she enthusiastically nodded yes. Then just to make sure she wasn't just saying yes to everything (like she sometimes does), I asked if she learned about monkeys. She quickly nodded yes again, then looked at me funny and very matter-of-factly said, "No, we didn't learn about monkeys." Good girl.
My favorite was after church though when Tom asked if she liked her teacher. She said, "Yes. My teacher's berry nice"....10 seconds later..."and she didn't bite me." Thanks for not biting my daughter Sister Salas, although I'm sure the urge to do so was very strong!

We love you little Sunbeam!

AAHHH!! I can't believe it! You're officially in the Primary world. Congrats to all. Sunbeams is such a huge milestone. I hope she has as great a teacher as Clara had this year. Aren't we so grateful for those amazing teachers? They make all the difference.

Your little girl is so cute. I was sad this morning when I realized James would be starting Sunbeams today and we are still at my mom's house. Next week though. He can not wait. I also asked him today what he learned and he told me that Jesus is real but Spiderman is not. I can only imagine how he got to that topic!!!

i think in the official teacher handbook it does specifically state that you should not bite your students. Reese got one of the good ones! She's so cute!

I'm so mad at myself for not taking a picture of Londyn yesterday. She loved Sunbeams too. I was afraid she wouldn't because she adored her nursery leader and I wasn't sure she was ready to give her up. But she did great. That's so funny about the monkeys - do you sometimes think they just think we're nuts? I can totally see her looking at you like "Mom, why in the world would we learn about monkeys?"

Ha ha, her fixation on biting is so funny! And you don't even read the Twilight novels to her...so where did it come from? :) Your little Sunbeam is a cutie!

Hey Rachel, I am hosting a Bachelor first night party. I can't wait to see what one of these lucky women he will pick and then watch him spoil them with multi $1,000 dates. I am so giddy I want to scream it out to the world atop the highest mountains on every continent. Please come over this evening for all the "noisy" excitment. I promise it to be a Bachelor party you will never forget. Super Duper! Oh congrats on Reese making it to Sunbeams. Teresa was bummed she wasn't in her class. -Eric "#1 Bachelor Fan" Riewerts

What a cute sunbeam! Noah started Sunbeams on Sunday too. He didn't love it though. He missed the toys...

Lucky for Reese that I'm not her Sunbeam teacher...there would be some definite munching going on....cuter than cute!!!
p.s. wouldn't Sundays be even more fun if monkeys actually were a part of the learning? Monkeys make it all better:-)

Austin was pretty bummed at first about not getting to go to nursery. I tried to ease the transition by sitting with him. But after 5 minutes he pointed to the door and told me, "Mommy, you go out that door!" And he did great. So much independence.
