Another free slurpee day has come and gone and I'm not going to lie, it was my most disappointing one yet. Turns out Mr. Bah-Slurpee-Bug (aka Tom) doesn't quite get my need to go to more than one 7-11 and celebrate this grand day! Hello....free sugar! He's officially off the invite list from here on out.

I love that you go every year for your slurpee! I think it's so cute! Thank you for your darling comment on my blog. My goal is to get back into the swing of blogging--I miss it. I also miss having the "history" of our family. Just a couple of weeks ago I was wondering what we had done for Memorial day last year and I loved having the blog to reference (especially since my brain cells seems to be dying). Claire and Reese are seriously SOOOO incredibly cute! I miss you!
Even better than Tom's begrudging slurpee dispensing, is that 3-foot long straw that Reese has in her thimble-sized slurpee. I'm also glad to see that you're starting Claire young--a traditions gotta start somewhere, right? :)
Ooo, I should clarify that Tom was very willing the first time we went...he's just concentrating very hard in this picture. :) We had a super busy day and he wasn't willing to make the sacrifices I was to continue on my journey for more free sugar. I know, crazy!
We thought of you several times last night as we ventured out for our free slurpee. Ryan was very pleased that they let us chill by the machine and he refilled his cup 4x. If you're in town next year-we will go to every 7-11 in the city with you :)
You are too funny!!! I am glad that you were still able to enjoy the free slurpee day though...even with Mr. BSB :)
I was thinking of you yesterday when I realized it was 7-11.
There are no 7-11's around here...sad but true.
brent was disappointed when he saw the size of the cups!! he didn't want to hit more than one either. i was all for it. i was a little disappointed in the flavors though. out of the 6 at the one store, only one was suitable for kids. as much as i'm sure they would have enjoyed the full throttle flavor, free slurpees aren't worth caffeine overload for the kids. but they seemed to enjoy the cherry flavor!! glad to know we were doing the same thing on the same day!!
ooohh, I wish I were closer to take tom's place. I LOVE slurpee's and we don't have a 7-11 around here ANYWHERE!!!! Darin isn't a big fan either, so we could go hit ALL the 7-11's together!! :) Next time, just tell Tom he has to go again to get one for me!! :)
I was just thinking, I dont recall seeing Tom along on this trip before, how fun is that? But if he's not going to immerse himself in the entire spirit of the thing then get lost pal. J/K. I remembered your posts about this from previous years (aka weird picture taking guy).
It was a wonderful day for free slurpees...should I admit we went to 3 different 7-11s?? We are all about freebies! :)
At least Claire got her first slurpee - and that's what's truly important ;o).
Shoot! We meant to go there yesterday. Dang. I'm glad you guys went.
Its crazy how time flies because it seems like they are always doing free slurpee day.
Whoops, forgot about 7-11. Honestly, I've never fully appreciated slurpees either, Tom. I'd always go for a good ol' golden swirl first (oh the memories, right Rachel???). But I have to say the New Orleans heat actually has made me crave a slurpee every now and again.
Claire is a cutie darling little thing! Can't wait to see you guys!
Mmmm. I love slurpees. I'm definitely making up for lost time guzzling them while we are in Vegas!
I was thinking I would come to Denver next year and drive all over town with you, but I just realized next year it will be on Sunday. Bummer. In two years I'll plan my summer visit around the date.
