Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas in Vegas this year with my side of the family.

The "traditional"??? Christmas Eve Fondue dinner. Nobody seems to be quite sure if it's a tradition, but...it does seem to happen every year. Hmmm?

I think Claire was lovin' life with being held so much (I was loving it too!). I'm pretty sure Ginger just needs to have another baby! (hehe Gungus)

And sweet Noah. Seriously one of the sweetest kids you'll ever meet. He loves babies!

Reese and Charles. They were such great little friends this trip. "Come 'ere Charlie" seemed to be Reese's favorite phrase that week.

Our little angel. :) You'll certainly never see a cuter OR more fiery "angel" in your life!

Claire had the starring role as Baby Jesus. We tried to disguise her pink bow and pacifier by at least wrapping her in a blue-ish towel.

The whole cast.

After the nativity we all changed into our matching jammies and prepared for the much awaited event of the evening...Speed Slippers.

For anybody not familiar with this Koch tradition, every Christmas Eve we use these beauties to run and slide up and down the halls. My grandma's friend used to make them for us every year. I've included a clip of Reese's first time as a demonstration. (You should also check out my sister Ginger's blog for some good actions shots.)

Now she's an old pro.

Well, she still requires a little bit of help from mommy or daddy (or her best bud Michael) if she actually wants to slide and not just run.

In case you were wondering. Speed slippers do come in a wide variety of colors and sizes. I had these mini ones that Reese first wore all ready to go for Claire, but she was being a poor sport and sleeping.

No more babies for me. I'll just keep sleeping in on Saturdays and hold all the babies you pop out! :)

Aww, I'm so sad we missed out! Claire really does look like she's getting chubby! So cute! I wish Shea would eat better. She wants to be done after five minutes.
