Silly Girl

So I get teased an awful lot about how often I blog. I have a couple things to say about that...first of all, it's a lot of fun for me and a GREAT way to stay in contact with friends and family. Secondly, it's also sort of a journal for me, so you should all feel guilty for not writing in your "journal" as often as I do :). And last of all...you read it! So it must be somewhat interesting to you. With that finally off my chest, enjoy this latest post! :)

Reese is all over the place these days and into more things than I would like her to be. Mmmm...used tissue from the garbage.

Here, want some mommy?!

Eating a Ritz and enjoying her first BYU football game! Ahh, this is the life.

Out at Chili's on Labor Day. Reese made up a fun new game called biting on each end of the straw and laughing. We did it over and over again! Good times.

So after a few little falls I finally went out and bought a baby gate. I figure she can learn to go up and down on these bottom 5 stairs. As you can see in this picture, she is not a fan.

So, after being a "closet reader" of your blog for the last little while (how could I NOT read your blog when I see links on all sorts of other blogs, we're connected in so many ways Rachel)... I'm just dying to ask, what model is your home? It reminds me so much of the house we had in Colorado that it's creating lots of fond memories for me. Do you think they're the same, or just similar? Obviously yours is painted and decorated with much more flair, but I just mean the basic floorplan :)

Alissa

P.S. who doesn't like seeing a new surprise when they click down their list of favorite blogs?

Alissa! Hey, so let's be honest, I'm totally a "closet reader" of your blog too. It's always just awkward to get over that "hey, so I read your blog all the time and know all about your life even though I don't talk to you." So good job for getting us passed that! We were obviously destined to know each other with all our connections. :)

So about the house...the downstairs is very similar to yours. It's pretty much the same layout except for we have a study right off to the right when you walk in. Our model is a Richmond home-Chestnut/Hudson. I remember going into your upstairs and that is actually quite a bit different. Our master bedroom is on the same side as your kids' bedrooms and our master is not nearly as big as yours was. We also have a loft. If I remember right your stairs were insanely steep just like ours. But that's funny because Steve and Adrienne said that exact thing about our house totally reminding them of yours.

I'm glad we're both finally out of the blog closet. By the way, there have been several times I almost posted comments on yours...not sure why I didn't. And congratulations on the pregnancy!

Glad you made it through the post. Phew! Little people can be so distracting ;o). And I'm glad you and Alissa are finally friends. Again.

Rachel I know what you mean about blogging all the time. I love catching the updates on yours! And I just have to say you and Alissa are so funny, you guys know you were roommates right!? :) Lol even though I wasn't in the apt much that semester... I guess I'm just saying that because I figure all my old roomies (and my sisters for that matter) interest me enough to read blogs :)

Okay Debbie, I've been laughing for the last half hour at "you guys know you were roommates right?" I guess it's just that we didn't stay in very good contact. So we're retarded. But it's all good...we're "finally friends. Again." hehe

Okay, so maybe I am totally clueless but I just noticed your short hair. So cute! When did you do that?

I love little Reese, what a rascal for getting into everything. She is too cute!

Thanks Rachel, my friend! I looked up the floorplan online and got all the detail. It's just that the stairs, how they do that bend against the wall thing, and really steep, and the bathroom/laundry combo, the wall between family and dining/nook... I was just going crazy.

Anyway I will continue to peruse your blog without hesitation and enjoy all your fun family updates.

I guess I should have directed my over-blogging comments towards my family. You know who you are! :)

Nora and Paige, yeah I cut my hair a couple weeks ago when Reese got hers cut. I'm still getting used to it. I seem to go through a 3 year cycle. Grow it out, then chop it, then grow it out...

I love reading your blog. It's funny, the pics are cute, and I just love the way you communicate. So yay for blogging!

Okay, so who has been bagging on your blogging? I know that I defend you anytime Mom or David pull the comments on how much you blog. I, for one, absolutely adore your blog. I just wish I sat my butt down to do it more often. It's fun to work on it.

BTW, Noah just broke his finger the other day. At Scouts, no less. I think I'm going to ban my boys from Scouts from now on since they end up with broken bones that way. So....off to the doctors for me again. Argh!! Just when I think that having the kids in school will be so cool, one of them is home each day this week. Thought I'd catch up on laundry, but instead it's piling again. Crazy, I tell you.

Reese getting into the tissue reminds me of Thumper dumpster-diving for your "monthlies". Grossest thing ever!

Ging,

I knew it! David that little punk. He hasn't said anything to my face, but it wasn't hard to guess that he made of me too. ;)

So that's crazy about Noah and his finger. I guess stuff like that happens often when you have boys. Just hope that they won't be crazy crack their head openers like Michael!

Oh, and thank you so much for the lovely reminder of Thumper dumpster diving. Yum!
