My old roommate Heidi (aka Hooty Booty) was also in town so she came by with her little guy on Saturday. I love Heidi! I have a few college roommates that I still and will probably forever consider to be some of my best friends! Heidi and I lived with each other from my sophomore year pretty much until I got married. We are so different, but for some reason we just clicked. Her cute little boy Austin is only 2 months older than Reese. It's been a lot of fun to have our first babies so close together. I can't wait to see her and two of my other best bud roommates (we actually still call each other "roommates") out in Ohio in a couple months for a little reunion!
Saying goodbye!
Yesterday, we also went to a horse show with my friend Blaise. She grew up riding and competing. I had never been to anything like that so I really enjoyed myself.
We took Reese into the barn to see the horses up close and to pet them. She loves cats and dogs, but I think horses were a little too big and scary for her liking.

I loved Hairspray too. I agree that it's the best version. I love the music and think I'll get the CD. I'm so jealous that you got to see Hootie-bootie. However, it's lessened by the fact that I get to see you all in September!!! Yay! I'm so excited. I still get weird looks when I refer to you guys as my roommates. But that's what you'll always be!
Reese looks like she has a tan. She really is one of the cutest kids I've ever seen. I've heard Hairspray was good, still haven't seen it....
Where in Ohio are you going to visit?
Ok, you've convinced me. I will watch Hairspray. Not that I was against it, I just didn't know much about it. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait till it's out on DVD for me to add my rave reviews.
Rach, it was so so good to visit with you! It seriously felt like only 10 minutes. Good thing we'll have much more time in a month. I just purchased airline tickets. Yay!
I took Hailey to see Hairspray the other day. We both loved it! I did the same thing as you...bouncing my leg, tapping my toes. The music was very contagious. I'm jealous you got Tom to go. I want to see it again and told Taylor he needs to go see it with me. I'm not sure if that will ever happen though. Oh well. Guess Hailey & I will have to go again. :)
I totally understand...movies are so hard to get to when you have a child! Nate and I rarely get to go...we do the REDBOX thing at the grocery store! Ha ha...we ahev a movie list like a mile long waiting for them to come out on DVD! So...question...you guys live in Colorado??!! DO YOU LIKE IT? Your pictures just make it look so beautiful there?! Nate and I are just looking around for places that we might like to settle when he is done with school...and well since you are totally up his alley...with being an orthodontic assistant and all...I just thought you might know...is Colorado a good place...for dentists...orthodontists...do you like living there?? Wow...my post is huge...well...just let me know! HA HA
I saw Hairspray too and really enjoyed it. It had both great acting and singing.
Marissa, we're meeting out in Columbus area (sorry other Marisa, I don't remember the actual city name) where Marisa lives. It will be Heidi, Dadra, Marisa, and me and of course all our babies.
Come on Heidi, you can at least make it to Movies 8 to see it in a few months! We loved seeing you too!
Ging, when I'm in town I will go see it with you again (not that I have a planned time to come back out there anytime soon). Tom was actually really excited to see it. I bet Taylor would enjoy it.
Stacie, I like Denver alright. We live in a new and developing area that isn't very pretty though (it's the only way we could afford a house). I think I would probably enjoy Denver itself if we were more outdoorsy and if we lived in a prettier area. Love our ward and our house though! As far as dentist/orthodontist I'm really not sure how the market is as far as if it's oversaturated or not. I'll have to talk to my boss about that. It seems to be just the same as any big city, but I'm not quite sure. I'll get back to you.
Rebekah, it's so good to hear from you! You should start a blog so we can hear all about your adventures!
Oh yeah Marissa, we have NO idea where Reese got her skin color. I always talk about how Tom and I are practically albino and Reese for some reason got olive skin. People are always commenting on it though. Lucky girl! Kind of like you!
I'm glad to know the movie was good. I want to see it really bad!
Looks like a fun and eventful weekend!
Love the new posts. Things have been so busy lately I haven't even been able to keep up with the Rachel daily blogs. Reese is so funny, although the rat biting picture is still my favorite. You guys should visit HB after your tour through Columbus, or maybe we'll just move to Commerce City and live in Riewerts' basement so Charlie and Reese can grow up together. (Adam)
